    • Falls to St. Louis
Abbott (3-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Abbott held St. Louis to three runs through six innings, as he pitched into the seventh for a third straight start. However, Abbott would allow the first three batters to reach in the frame, punctuated by a Nolan Gorman homer, en route to an eventual 7-1 loss. The 24-year-old left-hander had held opponents to two earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts prior to Tuesday. Abbott's ERA rose to 3.29 with a 1.13 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB over 63 innings this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week in Colorado. • José Quintana allows two homers in loss to Dodgers
José Quintana allowed three runs over six innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Quintana took the ball for the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader at Citi Field and was tagged for eight hits, including homers by Will Smith and Miguel Vargas in the first and sixth inning, respectively. He notched three strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. It wasn’t his worst outing of the season, but the veteran lefty got absolutely zero support from New York’s lineup in this one. He’ll bring an inflated 5.06 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 39/18 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings (11 starts) into a road matchup on Monday against the Nationals. Rotoworld Today, 7:08 pm

    • Andrew Abbott hit hard in loss to Cardinals
Andrew Abbott allowed six runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: It was only a matter of time before there was a rough start for the left-hander who came into the day with a 2.68 ERA but a 4.38 SIERA and just an 8.3 percent swinging strike rate. His sweeper performed well on Tuesday, but the rest of his arsenal lagged behind a bit and while he didn’t get hit overly hard, he had just an 18 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW on the day. He’ll now take a 3.29 ERA into a game in Coors Field next week. He’s a very risky start there. Rotoworld Today, 6:20 pm

    • Tylor Megill spins seven-inning gem vs. Dodgers
Tylor Megill recorded nine strikeouts over seven scoreless innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Dodgers.

Advice: Megill brought some of his best stuff of the season in the opening contest of Tuesday’s doubleheader at Citi Field, limiting Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup to just three hits and one walk over seven sharp frames. He threw seven different pitches, and also touched 98.1 mph on his four-seam fastball, in the longest scoreless outing of his career. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer with at least seven strikeouts in back-to-back starts since returning last week from the injured list and is in line for another home outing on Sunday against the Diamondbacks. The 28-year-old righty is absolutely worthy of at least a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats moving forward. It’ll be fascinating to see if he can keep this up. Rotoworld Today, 3:56 pm

    • Keeps rolling for 16th save
Suarez earned a save against the Marlins on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

Advice: Suarez was summoned in the ninth frame to protect a one-run lead and had no trouble doing so, retiring the side in order on 14 pitches. The right-hander came into the campaign with a loose grip on the ninth-inning role for the Padres but has emerged as one of the league's top first-half closers with 16 saves (in 16 chances) while posting a 0.73 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 24.2 innings. Prior to this season, Suarez had just one save over 71 major-league appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:06 pm

    • Suarez picks up 16th save against Marlins Monday
Robert Suarez tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: The save was Suarez’ 16th of the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.73 on the season. While the Padres’ closer situation was ambiguous going into the season, Suarez has grabbed the job and run with it to the point where he’s been one of the best closers in all of fantasy this season. • Mets-Dodgers game on Monday is postponed

    • Dodgers-Mets rained out Monday
Megill and the Mets won't play the Dodgers on Monday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday. Megill and Gavin Stone -- who had been slated to start Monday's game -- will presumably be pushed back a day to start one half of the twin bill. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:37 am

    • Converts four-out save
Suarez picked up the save in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Yankees, striking out two while allowing one run on two hits in 1.1 innings.

Advice: Suarez came in with two runners on and two out in the eighth to face Aaron Judge and bested him with a strikeout. He returned for the ninth and started off by allowing a home run to Alex Verdugo but was able to get the job done from there. The home run was the first run Suarez has given up since March 28. He continues to be one of the most dominant closers in baseball this year, as he's now tied for third with 15 saves and owns a 0.76 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB in 23.2 innings.
