    • Fans eight in no-decision
Steele did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: The Chicago southpaw posted his third straight quality start as he generated 14 whiffs en route to eight punchouts, tying his season-high set May 27 against Milwaukee. The Giants managed to collect both runs against Steele on a fifth inning double yielded to Curt Casali. Although Steele is still searching for his first win, he's been a dependable arm with a 3.16 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 56:15 K:BB over 57 innings this season. He's scheduled make his next start against the Giants again, but in San Francisco. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago

    • Castellanos has big game-winning hit
Nick Castellanos went 4-for-5 with a game-winning double in a 4-3 win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Castellanos came to the plate in a tie game in the ninth inning and blooped in a 78 mph double just beyond a sliding Fernando Tatis Jr. in right field. It was a much-needed big game for the veteran, who was hitting .203 in 14 games in June and is now hitting just .219 overall on the season. Castellanos is making more contact and striking out less this season, but he’s making less authoritative contact and really struggling to hit anything other than fastballs with a .134 AVG and .208 wOBA against off-speed pitches. He’ll continue to play regularly and hit in the middle of the Phillies’ lineup, but there aren’t many signs of a full-on bounceback here. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

    • Alexis Díaz earns 16th save on Tuesday
Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 2-1 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The save was Díaz’s 16th of the season and 5th in the month of June. It was a nice rebound from his tough outing against the Brewers last time out and Díaz has now thrown a scoreless inning in eight of his last 11 appearances. The bigger key for the 27-year-old was that he didn’t walk a batter in this outing, only the second time in June he’s accomplished that. He needs to keep the walks down if he’s going to continue having success at the end of games. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm

    • Nick Lodolo tremendous in win over PIT
Nick Lodolo allowed one run on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The left-hander struck out eight and didn’t walk a single batter on the day. He got 18 whiffs on 50 swings for a 36 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW on the day. He did a good job keeping his fastball upstairs and the curve low in the zone, which led to a 57 percent whiff rate on the curve alone. Lodolo has always showcased high upside but injuries have gotten in his way; yet, he now has a 2.76 ERA on the year with a good start against these same Pirates next week. Rotoworld Today, 7:05 pm

    • On bench Tuesday
Hamilton (side) is absent from the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Hamilton was lifted from Monday's game against the Blue Jays with left side discomfort and will be held out of Tuesday's starting nine. The severity of the injury is unclear, but a team day off Thursday should aid Hamilton's recovery, if necessary. Ceddanne Rafaela will play shortstop and bat ninth in Hamilton's place Tuesday. • David Hamilton out Tuesday with side soreness
David Hamilton (side) is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Hamilton has rapidly emerged as a relevant fantasy contributor over the last few weeks, batting .323 (31-for-96) with three homers and 14 stolen bases over his last 30 contests. The 26-year-old speedster was removed from Monday’s game against Toronto with left side discomfort, but it doesn’t sound like he’s going to wind up requiring a trip to the injured list at the moment. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 1:51 pm
    • Ha-Seong Kim draws rare day off on Tuesday night
Ha-Seong Kim is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: It’s an extremely rare day off for Kim, who has started every game for San Diego since May 23. The 28-year-old is struggling a little bit over the last few weeks, batting .213 (10-for-47) with two homers and six steals over his last 15 contests. It’ll be Tyler Wade drawing a rare start at shortstop on Tuesday evening against the Phillies. Rotoworld Today, 1:14 pm

Kim is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Philadelphia.

Advice: It's just the second day off this season for Kim, who is just 4-for-22 across his last eight games. Tyler Wade will receive a start at shortstop Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:07 pm

    • Oneil Cruz sitting against lefty on Tuesday
Oneil Cruz is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: Cruz, who has been dealing with a sore ankle over the last few days, will take a seat to open Tuesday’s contest with lefty Nick Lodolo toeing the rubber for Cincinnati. The 25-year-old shortstop boasts a .734 OPS with nine homers and five steals in 262 plate appearances over 64 games so far. Rotoworld Today, 12:57 pm
