      Advice: Altuve made an early exit from Friday's game in the eighth inning after taking a pitch off his hand, but he managed to escape the incident with only a bruise. It's possible he sits out a game or two in order to give his hand a chance to properly recover, but an extended absence isn't likely.       Advice: Altuve was clipped by a 94.3 mph sinker from Josh Winder. The 34-year-old superstar second baseman was grimacing and looked to be in obvious pain on the field. He’ll head for X-rays to see if he’s dealing with any fractures. The Astros should have an update on his status after that imaging is complete.       Reese Olson delivered a dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Reds, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits over his 5 2/3 innings of work.

      Advice: The right-hander piled up eight strikeouts on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. He served up a long solo homer to Spencer Steer in the fifth inning, then the Reds scratched out an unearned run while chasing Olson in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old right-hander generated 16 swings and misses on 88 pitches on the night — nine on his changeup — while posting a strong CSW of 34 percent.
