    • Wild in no-decision
Gibson allowed two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out seven over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: Gibson also hit a batter, which forced in the Brewers' first run of the game. The wildness brought an end to his four-start run of quality starts, as he threw just 55 of 104 pitches for strikes Saturday. Gibson is at a 3.67 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 40:20 K:BB through 49 innings across eight starts this season. He had a 2.6 BB/9 in each of the previous two seasons, but it's now at 3.7 in 2024. While that hasn't led to more damage in the runs column, it's a dangerous trend for a 36-year-old whose best trait is his ability to eat innings. Gibson is projected to make his next start at home versus the Red Sox. Rotowire.com Today, 8:26 pm

    • Fires seven hitless frames
Fried (3-1) earned the win over the Mets on Saturday, allowing three walks while striking out five batters over seven scoreless and hitless innings.

Advice: Fried threw 109 pitches during his seven frames, so manager Brian Snitker didn't allow him to push any further for an individual no-hitter. Atlanta's bullpen carried the no-no into the ninth inning before J.D. Martinez ended the combined bid with a two-out solo homer off Raisel Iglesias. Though he didn't etch his name in the record books, Fried bounced back very nicely after giving up four runs over seven frames and picking up his first loss in his previous outing. He's now notched four quality starts on the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 7:28 pm

    • Max Fried no-hits Mets over seven innings in win
Max Fried went seven no-hit innings to help Atlanta to a 4-1 win over the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: For the second time in three starts, Fried has not allowed a hit. Unfortunately, his pitch count has prevented him from being able to complete the no-no in both, and he was done Saturday after throwing 109 pitches. The Mets wouldn’t pick up a hit until a solo homer off Raisel Iglesias by J.D. Martinez in the ninth. Still, the left-hander was once again awfully impressive, and he struck out five against three walks without really being challenged throughout the outing. Fried will take a 3.57 ERA into his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for Friday against San Diego. Rotoworld Today, 3:57 pm

    • Quality start in loss
Webb (3-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings to take the loss versus the Reds on Friday.

Advice: Webb has walked multiple batters in three straight starts, but he was at least able to pitch deeper in this contest after failing to get past the fourth inning in either of his last two outings. It's still an uncharacteristic rough patch for the Giants' ace. He sports a 3.38 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB through 53.1 innings across nine starts this season. Webb's projected for a tough home matchup with the Dodgers in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:11 pm

    • Logan Webb works seven, allows two in loss to Reds
Logan Webb gave up three runs — two earned — while working seven innings in a loss Friday to the Reds.

Advice: Webb was much better than his middling start Sunday against the Phillies, but unfortunately it does result in another loss for the 27-year-old. The right-hander gave up eight hits with two walks, and he struck out six. A solid effort, and it lowers his ERA to 3.38 on the season. The Dodgers come next for Webb. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 pm

    • Lasts 4.1 innings vs. Pittsburgh
Assad didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Pirates, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: After the Pirates scored twice in the first inning, Assad delivered 3.1 scoreless frames before he was ultimately pulled after 89 pitches (53 strikes). The 26-year-old hasn't allowed more than one earned run in five straight starts, and he's 3-0 with a 1.70 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB across 42.1 innings this season. The Mexican-born right-hander is currently slated for a road matchup with Atlanta in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:04 pm

    • Javier Assad lifted in fifth against Pirates
Javier Assad was lifted after allowing two runs — one earned — in 4 1/3 innings Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Assad was pulled from a 2-2 game after giving up a single with one out in the fifth. He pitched rather well tonight in striking out four and giving up four hard-hit balls and four hits, but his pitch count was driven up by some long at-bats. While his ERA stands at 1.70, he’s completed six innings just twice. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:47 pm

    • Guardians transfer Gavin Williams to 60-day IL
Guardians transferred RHP Gavin Williams to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Nothing has changed with Williams from a return timetable standpoint as the procedural move merely clears up a spot on Cleveland’s 40-man roster for newly-acquired reliever Darren McCaughan. The 24-year-old righty has been on the shelf since spring training due to right elbow inflammation, but was able to resume a throwing program last week following a brief setback. There’s a chance he’s ready to return at some point next month. Rotoworld Thursday, 11:53 am

    • Shifted to 60-day IL
The Guardians transferred Williams (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Advice: The move clears a spot on the team's 40-man roster for the addition of Darren McCaughan. Williams resumed a throwing program a week ago after a brief shutdown period following a setback with his right elbow. It was going to take him a while to get ramped back up anyway, though, so this transaction shouldn't alter his timetable. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:43 am
