    • Knocks in four runs Saturday
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two additional RBI in a 5-1 win against the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Bohm got Philadelphia off to a quick start with a two-run homer off Dylan Cease in the first inning. The team didn't score again until the fifth frame, and Bohm added two more RBI in that inning on a two-out single. The third baseman has been arguably the league's hottest hitter of late -- he's on an 11-game hitting streak during which he's gone 22-for-43 (.512 average) with three homers, 16 RBI, 10 runs and a 4:5 BB:K. • Looks mortal versus Phillies
Cease (3-2) took the loss against Philadelphia on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five batters over six innings.

Advice: Prior to Saturday, Cease hadn't given up more than two earned runs in any of his five starts and had pitched to a 1.82 ERA. That number ballooned to 2.78 after the outing against Philadelphia, with Alec Bohm accounting for four RBI against the right-hander. Despite the hiccup, Cease has been the Padres' most effective starter this season, and he'll look to bounce back into form in his next appearance, which projects to come on the road in Arizona. • Alec Bohm drives in four runs with homer vs. Padres
Alec Bohm homered and drove in four runs in a victory Saturday over the Padres.

Advice: Bohm got the party started with a two-run homer off a shaky Dylan Cease in the first inning. The 27-year-old added two more RBI with a single off Cease in the fifth to bring his RBI total 26 in 28 games. That number isn’t sustainable, but Bohm is going to get a lot of run-producing changes as long as he’s effective enough to justify hitting in the middle of this loaded Philadelphia lineup. • Dylan Cease walks three, allows five in loss
Dylan Cease gave up five runs in six innings of work while picking up a loss Saturday against the Phillies.

Advice: Cease was going to have to be at his best to match Ranger Suárez, and unfortunately he wasn’t close. The right-hander did whiff five, but he gave up six hits that included a two-run homer from Alec Bohm. In his first season with the Padres, Cease has posted a very solid 2.78 ERA despite this not-so-effective outing. A chance to lower that figure comes Friday in Arizona. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:22 pm
    • Carlos Rodón’fans eight over six strong vs. MIL
Carlos Rodón gave up just one run while striking out eight in six innings of work while getting a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: We don’t have rooting interests, but it’s been refreshing to see Rodón look so effective over his past few starts. He allowed just two hits with one walk, and that makes 13 innings of one-run baseball over those last two outings. The injury concerns with Rodón are very real and consistency has not been his friend, but the 31-year-old absolutely has the stuff to be a dominant fantasy option. He’ll look to keep it going Thursday in a tough matchup with Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 pm
    • Clubs third homer
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Rutschman is on fire with an eight-game hitting streak, going 15-for-36 (.417) in that span with two homers, nine RBI and four runs scored. The catcher's surge has him up to a .324/.368/.438 slash line with three homers, 16 RBI, 16 runs scored and three doubles through 25 games. Rutschman's power numbers are more or less in line with his first two seasons and he's making more contact, but he's also posted a 6.1 percent walk rate so far. He's locked in as the Orioles' No. 2 hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:06 pm

    • Adley Rutchman goes yard in win over A’s
Adley Rutchman went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Incredibly, Rutchman has had only five games this season in which he did not record a hit. He extended his current streak to eight games with a solo homer in the fifth inning off of JP Sears. The 26-year-old star catcher is batting .324/.368/.438 with three homers, 16 runs scored, and 16 RBI across 114 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:27 pm

    • Ramping up at complex
Friedl (wrist) is ramping up baseball activities at the team's complex in Goodyear (Ariz.) and could begin playing games as a defensive player only this weekend, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After serving as a defensive player only, Friedl could move onto bunting in games and possibly a rehab assignment by the middle of next week. Cincinnati manager David Bell said he'll need between one and two weeks before being ready to return, noting the need to build up at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:28 am

    • Picks up eighth save
Finnegan struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his eighth save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Marlins.

Advice: He needed only six pitches, all strikes, to dispatch the middle of Miami's order. Finnegan hasn't allowed an earned run yet in April, converting all seven of his save chances on the month with a 9:4 K:BB through 9.2 innings. Hunter Harvey, who collected his eighth hold Friday with a clean eighth inning, has been more dominant to begin the season and has a 19:2 K:BB through 13 innings. For now, though, Nats manager Dave Martinez is content to let him handle highest-leverage spots while Finnegan takes care of business in the ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:53 am
