      Spencer Steer clobbered a solo homer on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Padres.

      Advice: Steer kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to left-center field -- his fourth round-tripper of the season -- off Padres starter Joe Musgrove in the opening frame. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 6, snapping a bizarre 22-game homerless drought.       Advice: Lowe, who opened the season on the 10-day injured list with an oblique strain, was expected to be activated last weekend, but his return to the 26-man active roster was delayed after he experienced right hamstring tightness in a rehab game at Durham. However, the feeling is that Lowe experienced only a minor setback, and he's since been cleared to return to game action.       Advice: It’s been a frustrating process for the Rays and fantasy managers who have Lowe rostered. The 26-year-old outfielder was supposed to be activated from the injured list this past weekend, but hamstring tightness while rehabbing delayed his return. Lowe will rehab with Durham on Thursday and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis.       Castillo (3-4) earned the win over Atlanta on Tuesday, tossing seven shutout innings while allowing just three hits and a walk. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Castillo was dominant once again en route to his third consecutive win. He registered 20 whiffs with 10 of those coming from his fastball and did not give up an extra-base knock. It's safe to say that Castillo is rounding back into ace form. Over his last four starts, he's posted a 1.38 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 31:4 K:BB in 26 innings while allowing a .174 opponent batting average over that span.
