    • Raisel Iglesias dodges traffic to net eighth save
Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Mariners to collect his eighth save of the season.

Advice: Iglesias was summoned to guard a three-run lead in the final frame and certainly made things interesting by issuing a leadoff walk to Luke Raley before giving up a single to ensuing batter Julio Rodríguez. He set down Mitch Haniger and Jorge Polanco before getting Cal Raleigh to ground out to preserve the victory. The 34-year-old veteran stopper has converted eight of nine save opportunities this season to accompany a sparkling 2.19 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 9/3 K/BB ratio across 12 1/3 innings (13 appearances). • Kodai Senga tabbed for live bullpen on Saturday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) is scheduled to throw another live bullpen session on Saturday.

Advice: Senga faced live hitters on Monday without any issues, and he’ll repeat the process once again on Saturday. If all goes well there, he could be ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment. Barring any setbacks, he plans to be ready to rejoin the Mets’ rotation as soon as he’s eligible to do so on May 27. Rotoworld Today, 1:31 pm

    • Tim Anderson scratched from Wed. lineup
Tim Anderson has been scratched from Wednesday’s lineup due to a mild left thumb sprain.

Advice: Anderson is now out of the Marlins’ lineup in consecutive games after he left Monday’s game with a thumb injury. The team said he’s out today as a precautionary measure, so hopefully the 30-year-old is back in the lineup in the coming days. Rotoworld Today, 1:01 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Anderson (thumb) has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Rockies, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Anderson's sprained left thumb is still a little sore, so he will miss a second straight start. The Marlins are calling Anderson's removal from the lineup precautionary, so consider him day-to-day. Vidal Brujan will fill in again at shortstop Wednesday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:00 pm

    • Cleared to start Wednesday
Anderson (thumb) will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Anderson was out of the lineup for Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win due to a left thumb sprain, but he was able to enter the contest as a pinch runner in the bottom of the 10th and ended up scoring the game-tying run. He's now ready to reclaim his usual spot in the infield, after Vidal Brujan drew the start at shortstop Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:23 pm

    • Sits against right-hander again
Fraley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: For the second straight day, Fraley finds himself on the bench with a right-handed pitcher (Joe Musgrove) on the hill. The Reds haven't indicated that Fraley is nursing an injury, but the outfielder has thus far struggled to bounce back since returning to the lineup after a week-long absence due to an illness. In his first three games back in action, Fraley went 0-for-11 with five strikeouts. If Fraley is unable to show improvement in his subsequent starting opportunities, he could fade into more of a part-time role for Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Today, 11:47 am

    • Marlins send Jake Burger on rehab assignment
Marlins sent Jake Burger (oblique) on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: The 28-year-old slugger was placed on the injured list a little over two weeks ago and will get some live at-bats with Jacksonville on Wednesday. Prior to hitting the injured list, Burger was slashing .228/.281/.421 with three home runs and 15 RBI in 64 plate appearances this season. If all goes well with his rehab, fantasy managers should expect Burger to be back with the Marlins in the coming days. Rotoworld Today, 11:05 am

    • Stumbles in Boston
Webb (3-2) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs on nine hits and three walks over 3.2 innings as the Giants fell 4-0 to the Red Sox. He struck out four.

Advice: After four straight starts in which he lasted at least seven innings and allowed two runs or less, Webb struggled to put away hitters and generated only four swinging strikes among his 91 pitches. Despite the stumble, the 27-year-old right-hander still sports a 2.98 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB through 42.1 innings, and he's served up just one homer so far in 2024. Webb faces a tough challenge in his next scheduled start, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Today, 6:53 am
    • Pops first homer Tuesday
Gimenez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-9 extra-inning loss to the Astros.

Advice: Gimenez started the Guardians' comeback with a two-run blast in the sixth inning. The second baseman has logged three straight multi-hit efforts following a recent 0-for-11 skid. For the season, he's slashing .280/.347/.374 with one homer, 17 RBI, 17 runs scored, four stolen bases, five doubles and a triple over 122 plate appearances. He continues to see a starting role and frequently bats second in the lineup against right-handers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:48 pm
