    • Corbin Carroll settles for lone single in loss
Corbin Carroll contributed a single in four at-bats as the Diamondbacks’ No. 8 hitter on Monday.

Advice: Carroll had two hard-hit balls tonight, including a 408-foot flyout that Statcast said would have been a homer in 17 of 30 ballparks. Power has been the issue for the 23-year-old this season, so this was a pretty good night, even if the box score looks perfectly generic. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:41 pm

    • Griffin Canning gives up four runs to Phillies
Griffin Canning yielded four runs and five walks in five innings Monday against the Phillies.

Advice: Canning managed just one strikeout and four missed swings tonight. There still might be some hope for him if he recovers the two mph he’s lost since last season, but he’s not a very good bet at the moment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 pm
    • Carlos Estévez gives up run, earns save anyway
Carlos Estévez got a save despite allowing a run in the ninth Monday against the Phillies.

Advice: Estévez gave up a single, a double and a sac fly before finishing off the Phillies tonight. His stuff is worse than it was last year, and we wouldn’t expect much help in ERA and WHIP here. Still, with Robert Stephenson down for the year and José Soriano in the rotation, his closing gig is very secure. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 pm
    • Avoids blown save
Estevez allowed a run on two hits in one inning Monday. He struck out one batter and earned a save over the Phillies.

Advice: Estevez entered a 6-4 game and found himself in a jam with two on and one out. He gave up one run but still preserved the 6-5 victory. Estevez has converted five of his six save chances this season but has coughed up three runs in his last three appearances. Before that, he had a five-inning scoreless streak to open the 2024 campaign. Estevez owns a 3.38 ERA with a perfect 8:0 K:BB through eight innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:41 pm
    • Walks five in no-decision
Canning allowed four runs on three hits and five walks over five innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out one during the win over Philadelphia.

Advice: Canning was tagged with three runs in the first inning but held the Phillies off the score sheet until they pushed across another run in the fifth. He threw just 44 of 86 pitches for strikes and set a new season high with five free passes. Canning had walked three batters over his previous three starts (14.1 innings). His ERA sits at 7.45 with a 21:12 K:BB through 29 frames. Canning is projected to start in Cleveland this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:38 pm
    • Drives in three runs
Bohm went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: Bohm knocked a two-run single in the first inning and added an RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth. He's been an RBI machine this season, racking up 10 over his last six games, giving him 29 on the year. He trails only Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna on the RBI leaderboard. Bohm is slashing .364/.439/.607 with 17 extra-base knocks and a 15:19 BB:K through 30 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm

    • MRI brings positive news
Manager Kevin Cash stated Monday that the news on Lowe's MRI was "pretty good" and the team is monitoring him on a day-to-day basis, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe was expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list over the weekend after recovering from an oblique injury that forced him to miss the first month of the 2024 campaign, but the club pushed the pause button after he felt some tightness in his right hamstring. This update from Cash is vague, so while it seems Lowe has managed to avoid a significant hamstring injury, the team has yet to provide a concrete timetable for the outfielder's return from the injured list. • Christian Yelich (back) throws from 120 feet away
Christian Yelich (back) threw from up to 120 feet away before Monday’s game.

Advice: Yelich has also resumed throwing, and the ability to throw from a relative distance is another positive encouragement. This was initially viewed as a potential short-term stint on the injured list, but right now it seems likely that Yelich won’t be back until the early-to-mid portion of May. • Swats first homer Sunday
Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run in Sunday's loss to Minnesota.

Advice: Rengifo's two-run blast was a key part of a four-run fifth inning for the Halos, but Minnesota pulled away late to drop the Angels' record to 10-18. Rengifo has been a locked-in part of the team's lineup of late, starting five straight games at either second or third base. Since April 17, the utility man is slashing .343/.425/.514 with one homer, five RBI, six runs and three stolen bases over 11 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:11 pm
