    • Nick Castellanos goes 0-for-4 in loss to Angels
Nick Castellanos went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Angels on Monday.

Advice: While Castellanos’s track record certainly suggests that he will hit, this has been awfully ugly; he’s batting just .173/.242/.218 through 120 plate appearances. The only players with worse OPSs currently qualified for the batting title are rookie second basemen (Colt Keith and Enmanuel Valdez). Castellanos has always been worse than most in recognizing which pitches to swing at, but his natural talent at putting bat to ball has made up for it. That could be changing at age 32, and the Phillies might have to consider an upgrade in right field at some point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 pm

    • Clubs pair of homers
Turner went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a solo home run during Monday's 6-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Turner dominated Royals starter Jonathan Bowlan -- who was making his second career start -- notching home runs off him in the first and third innings. The contest doubled Turner's 2024 home run total and was his first multi-homer game since June of 2023. Through 28 games, Turner is slashing .311/.390/.533 with 15 RBI and 15 runs scored. • Yields four runs
Sanchez allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over five-plus innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out one during the loss to the Angels.

Advice: Sanchez gave up a run in each of the first two innings. He then kept the Angels quiet until he was charged with two more runs without recording an out in the sixth. It was the first time this season Sanchez has allowed more than three earned runs in an outing. He tied his lowest strikeout total and forced just a single swinging strike in the subpar performance. The 27-year-old lefty now owns a 3.68 ERA with a 29:13 K:BB through 29.1 innings. Sanchez is currently in line for a home start next week against the Giants. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:24 pm
    • Turns in scoreless outing
Pepiot (3-2) yielded two hits over six shutout frames Monday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Brewers.

Advice: Pepiot was nearly untouchable Monday, allowing just one Brewer to reach scoring position. At one point, he retired 14 consecutive batters. He's produced three straight quality starts and four in his six appearances this year. Over his last outings, Pepiot has given up just two runs with an 18:5 K:BB through 18 innings. He'll carry a 3.12 ERA into his next start, which is projected to be at home against the Mets this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:34 pm

    • Ryan Pepiot throws six scoreless innings in win
Ryan Pepiot went six scoreless innings and punched out seven batters in Monday’s 1-0 win against the Brewers.

Advice: Pepiot has now made it through six innings in three straight starts. After allowing four or more earned runs in two of his first three starts this season, the 26-year-old has found his rhythm and hasn’t allowed more than one run in his last three outings. Opponents are now batting .168 against the right-hander and he now has 38 strikeouts through his first six starts. He’s a must start in all fantasy formats and will look to continue a solid 2024 campaign against the Mets. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:12 pm

    • Shuts down Yanks for fourth win
Rodriguez (4-1) picked up the win Monday, allowing five hits and three walks over 5.2 scoreless innings in a 2-0 victory over the Yankees. He struck out three.

Advice: While the 24-year-old right-hander recorded his lowest strikeout total of the season so far, Rodriguez kept New York from pushing across a run despite having runners in scoring position in three of the six innings in which he worked. He tossed 54 of 101 pitches for strikes before exiting, coming up just short of his fourth quality start of the year, and he gave up two runs or fewer for the fifth time in six trips to the mound. Rodriguez will take a 3.71 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB through 34 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road this weekend in Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:09 pm
    • Justin Turner homers twice in win vs. Royals
Justin Turner went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday’s 6-5 win against the Royals.

Advice: Turner has dominated the Royals this season. In five games against Kansas City this season, Turner is 6-for-14 (.429 AVG) with two homers and four RBI. It was the 39-year-old’s first multi HR game since last June when he hit two round trippers against the Yankees. Turner is boasting a .923 OPS through 28 games this season and if he’s producing like this, he’ll be a great addition to fantasy managers given he wasn’t much of a hot commodity heading into the season. • Grayson Rodriguez shuts out Yankees in win
Grayson Rodriguez went 5 2/3 innings and allowed five hits and no runs in a 1-0 victory against the Yankees.

Advice: After a putrid outing where he allowed seven earned runs, Rodriguez put together a scoreless performance and threw more than 100 pitches for the first time in a game this season. This was the 24-year-old’s third win of the season and brought his 4.45 ERA down to a cool 3.71 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:07 pm
    • Senga faces hitters, expects to return when eligible
Kodai Senga (shoulder) faced hitters Monday for the first time since February.

Advice: Senga told reporters that he expects to be able to return from the 60-day injured list when eligible, which would be May 27 in this case. The right-hander continues to make steady progress from the injury, and the next step will likely be a rehab assignment starting in the next week or so. Great news for fantasy managers who have remained patient with Senga in their injured list spot. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:30 pm
