      J.T. Realmuto went 3-for-4 and scored a run as the Phillies triumphed over the Giants on Sunday evening in Philadelphia.

      Advice: Realmuto — hitting in the second slot of the lineup with Trea Turner (hamstring) shelved — singled in the third inning and rode home on Bryce Harper’s three-run blast. He added an infield single in the fourth inning and another in the sixth before all was said and done.       Finnegan walked one batter during one scoreless inning to pick up the save Sunday against the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Finnegan has not allowed an earned run over his last 13 appearances and converted his 10th straight save opportunity for the surprising Nationals, who moved to .500 on the season with the win.     • James Paxton stifles Braves in win on Sunday
      James Paxton allowed one run on five hits in 6 2/3 innings in a win over the Braves on Sunday.

      Advice: Paxton struck out three and walked two on the day with the only damage allowed being a solo home run to Marcell Ozuna in the seventh inning. He had just a 15 percent whiff rate and 17 percent CSW, so it certainly wasn’t a dominant performance, but he pounded the zone and kept the Braves off-balance.       Manoah did not factor into the decision, allowing seven runs (six earned) on six hits and four walks over four innings Sunday against the Nationals. He struck out six.

      Advice: Manoah struggled with his command throughout, also hitting a batter to allow 11 baserunners and six earned runs including two homers during his first start of the season. It was not the type of start the Blue Jays were hoping to see out of the fourth-year starter, who compiled a 2.59 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 307 strikeouts over 308.1 innings during his first two seasons but struggled to a 5.87 ERA and 1.74 WHIP over 87.1 innings last season spanning 19 starts. The Blue Jays are hopeful Manoah can return to form this season, but fantasy managers will be wise to proceed with skepticism until the 26-year-old righty starts to show signs that he's working past his funk.       Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 win over LAA.

      Advice: Ramirez took Griffin Canning yard in the sixth inning, getting the Guardians on the board and plating Andres Gimenez. The long ball was his sixth of the campaign, a total that trails only Josh Naylor -- who also homered Sunday -- for the team lead.       Making his 2024 debut, Alek Manoah gave up seven runs — six earned — in four innings Sunday against the Nationals.

      Advice: Manoah issued a bases-loaded walk in the first, but that run was unearned because of an error to start the inning. He later gave up a homer in the third and five runs after recording the second out of the fourth. The good news is that Manoah had really strong velocity today — his 94.3 mph average on his fastball was up 1.5 mph from last year and also little better than his 2022 average — and he was able to strike out six batters.     • Josh Hader yields go-ahead homer in ninth
      Josh Hader lost after giving up a go-ahead homer in a tie game Sunday against the Mariners.

      Advice: It’s the save situations in which Hader has struggled, but the loss today came after he was asked to preserve a tie. Cal Raleigh’s homer was the second surrendered by Hader in 14 2/3 innings this year.       Dansby Swanson walloped his fourth home run of the season on Sunday as the Cubs shut out the Brewers at Wrigley Field.

      Advice: Swanson crushed a 399-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Thaygo Viera in the sixth inning, extending the Cubs’ lead to 4-0. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. The 30-year-old infielder has had a rough go at the plate through the first month-plus of the 2024 campaign — slashing .220/.287/.358 to go along with four homers, 12 RBI and four stolen bases.
