    • Remains productive Thursday
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Advice: Rodriguez continues to climb out of an early-season hole, erasing the memory of an 0-for-4, three-strikeout performance Wednesday with his sixth multi-hit effort in the last eight games. Rodriguez added his seventh steal in eight attempts as well, putting him on pace to blow past the career-best 37 bags he swiped in 2023. Rotowire.com Today, 9:36 am
    • Harper has two hits, homers in win over Reds
Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer on Thursday in the Phillies’ win over the Reds.

Advice: The home run was a 384-foot shot off Nick Martinez that left the bat at 101.4 mph. Harper also had a 112 mph single on the day and is now slashing .256/.347/.488 on the year with five home runs and 16 RBI. Expect the batting average to keep rising as Harper remains one of the best hitters for fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:12 pm
    • Framber Valdez to start Sunday in Mexico City
Framber Valdez (elbow) will start on Sunday against the Rockies in Mexico City.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada confirmed Thursday that Valdez will return this weekend after spending just over two weeks on the shelf with left elbow inflammation. The 30-year-old southpaw completed a 40-pitch bullpen session earlier this week and figures to have some workload limitations this weekend in Mexico City’s extremely hitter-friendly high-altitude environment. His return will provide Houston’s injury-depleted starting rotation with a significant lift, but he’s probably best left on the bench this weekend for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:33 pm
    • Homers in return
Harper went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Thursday's 5-0 win over Cincinnati.

Advice: After missing Philadelphia's last three games while on the paternity list, Harper returned with a bang Thursday, launching a two-run homer off Nick Martinez to extend the Phillies lead to 4-0 in the third inning. After a slow start to the year, Harper's starting to turn it around at the plate -- he's hit safely in his last seven games, going 10-for-24 with two home runs and nine RBI in that span. He's boosted his slash line to .256/.347/.488 with five homers and 16 RBI across 22 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:11 pm
    • Receives rest day
Smith is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Smith will get a breather for the day game after he pounded out four hits, scored twice and drove in a run in Wednesday night's 11-2 win. Austin Barnes will fill in for Smith behind the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:51 am

    • Not starting Thursday
Machado (personal) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Since Machado has already spent the maximum three days on the paternity list, he needs to be activated Thursday, but the Padres have yet to officially announce the move. Even if the Padres add Machado back to the 26-man roster Thursday, he'll still be available only as a bench player before likely making his return to the lineup against the Phillies this weekend, when the team returns to San Diego. Jurickson Profar will serve as the Friars' designated hitter Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:42 am

    • Starting Sunday in Mexico City
Astros manager Joe Espada said that Valdez (elbow) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday's game against the Rockies in Mexico City, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Valdez has been on the IL since April 9 due to inflammation in his left elbow. He built up to 40 pitches in his last bullpen session Wednesday, so his first start back from the injured list will likely be an abbreviated one. In any case, his return will still give Houston's rotation a much-needed boost following the recent move of Cristian Javier (neck) to the IL. Valdez surrendered three earned runs and struck out 10 batters over 12.1 innings across his first two starts before getting injured. Given Valdez's expected workload restriction Sunday in addition to the high altitude in Mexico City likely creating a hitter-friendly environment, fantasy managers may want to hold off on immediately activating the southpaw. • Reinstated from paternity leave
The Phillies reinstated Harper (personal) from the paternity leave list Thursday.

Advice: Harper missed the first three games of the series in Cincinnati after welcoming his third child into the world, but he's back for the series finale in Cincinnati. The two-time MVP will start at first base and bat third against the Reds. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:16 am
    • Phillies activate Bryce Harper from paternity list
Phillies activated 1B Bryce Harper from the paternity list.

Advice: After a few days off to celebrate the birth of a child, Harper joins the Phillies in their series finale against the Reds. He’ll look to extend his hitting streak to seven games and get the Phillies back on track after consecutive losses to Cincinnati. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:15 am
