    • Picks up fourth save
Yates struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Friday's 2-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Yates struck out Jonathan India and Jeimer Candelario to begin the ninth, giving him 13 punchouts in 11 innings out of the bullpen. The 37-year-old righty still has yet to allow a run this season, and he'll likely continue receiving the bulk of save opportunities as long as that remains the case. • Homers in Friday's loss
Mullins went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Mullins took Ross Stripling deep in the fourth inning to give the Orioles a 2-1 lead. Prior to Friday, Mullins had gone 0-for-11 with two walks and a stolen base over his last three games. The veteran outfielder is slashing .232/.286/.476 with six homers, 16 RBI, five steals, 16 runs scored and two doubles through 91 plate appearances. He continues to see the majority of the playing time in center field, though it's unclear if his playing time is in any danger following the recent call-ups of Heston Kjerstad and Ryna McKenna. If Mullins struggles, he could cede some at-bats versus southpaws to players like McKenna or Jorge Mateo. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:55 pm

    • Kirby Yates throws perfect ninth for save
Kirby Yates struck out two in a perfect ninth Friday for a save against the Reds.

Advice: It was Yates’ first appearance since his save Sunday. He threw 14 pitches tonight, so he should be available again Saturday. David Robertson could also be a threat for a save then, but Yates is the clear favorite in Texas right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm

    • Nabs fourth win
Imanaga (4-0) earned the win Friday over the Red Sox, allowing one run on five hits and one walk across 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: It was another strong outing from Imanaga, with Boston's lone run coming on a Tyler O'Neill solo homer in the fourth inning. It's safe to say the 30-year-old southpaw has exceeded expectations thus far -- Imanaga's yet to allow more than two earned runs in a start, and his ERA now sits at a stellar 0.98 with a 0.80 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB across five outings (27.2 innings). He's currently slated for a road matchup with the Mets in his next start. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm
    • Punches out 10 in win
Nola (4-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk over eight innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Padres.

Advice: Nola was terrific Friday, posting his first double-digit strikeout game since July 4, 2023. He threw 74 of 106 pitches for strikes and forced 14 whiffs in the victory. The veteran righty had yielded just one run through six frames before Graham Pauley's two-run shot in the seventh inning. Since coughing up six earned runs in his season debut, Nola has posted a stifling 1.29 ERA with a 33:10 K:BB over his last five starts (35 innings). He'll carry a 3.23 ERA into his next appearance, which is projected to come on the road against the Angels next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:28 pm

    • Aaron Nola whiffs 10 in victory over Padres
Aaron Nola picked up 10 strikeouts over eight innings of three-run baseball to get a win over the Padres on Friday.

Advice: Nola scattered seven hits allowed with one walk. The only real damage was a two-run homer by Graham Pauley, and that was in the seventh inning with the Padres trailing 9-1. Nola has now gone eight innings in back-to-back starts, and he’s posted a strong 3.20 ERA through the first month of the season. The Angels are next for the right-hander. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:28 pm

    • Rough night vs. LA
Bassitt (2-4) took the loss Friday against the Dodgers, allowing seven runs on nine hits and three walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Bassitt allowed a solo home run to Shohei Ohtani in the first inning before imploding in the third, when he allowed another six runs on six hits including a Max Muncy three-run homer. It's been a rocky start to the year for the 35-year-old Bassitt -- his ERA is up to 5.64 with a 1.85 WHIP and 30:17 K:BB across six starts (30.1 innings). He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, currently slated for next week against Kansas City. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:06 pm
    • Mitch Garver swats solo homer against D-Backs
Mitch Garver hit a solo homer in a victory Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Both Mitch’s did well for the Mariners on Friday, as Mitch Haniger hit a grand slam to go along with Garver’s shot. It’s just the second homer of the season for the 33-year-old, as he’s been awful to begin 2024 as seen in a slash of .143/.265/.271. Based on his previous seasons, it seems very likely those numbers bounce back in the coming weeks, if not sooner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:02 pm

    • Shota Imanaga breezes through Red Sox, gets to 4-0
Shota Imanaga pitched 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball and struck out seven as the Cubs topped the Red Sox 7-1 on Friday.

Advice: The Red Sox were one of the teams that wanted Imanaga over the winter, and there’s been speculation that they made him a higher offer than the Cubs. He made it look pretty easy tonight; he got 14 whiffs and the average exit velocity against him was a paltry 79.6 mph. This makes him 4-0 with a 0.98 ERA, and he has to be viewed as a top-20 fantasy SP at this point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:25 pm
