    • Anthony Santander homers twice, knocks in five
Anthony Santander went 3-for-5 with two homers and five RBI in leading the Orioles to a 9-1 trouncing of the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: It’s shaping up a quite the walk year for Santander, who just made his first All-Star team. He’s up to 26 homers, which is seven off his career high from 2022. His .826 OPS is 60 points better than his career mark and would be his career high, unless someone wants to count his .890 OPS from 37 games in 2020. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:46 pm
    • Homers in three-hit game
Neto went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 13-3 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Neto was hot entering the All-Star break and kept it up following the pause. He's gone 11-for-23 (.478) with five extra-base hits over his last seven contests. The shortstop continues to be one of the better hitters on the Angels' roster with a .257/.307/.446 slash line, 13 homers, 43 RBI, 39 runs scored and 14 stolen bases through 94 contests. • Zach Neto picks up three hits, homers in loss
Zach Neto went 3-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: A very good day for Neto. A very bad day for the Angels as they were outscored by 10 in the first game since the break. The shortstop swatted a solo homer off JP Sears to tie the game at 2-2 and gave him his 13th homer of the campaign. Neto has been one of the few bright spots for the Angels with a solid — if unspectacular — .257/.307/.446 slash over the first three-plus months. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:22 pm

    • Goes deep twice
Santander went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's win over Texas.

Advice: Santander belted a two-run shot in the fifth inning and capped off his day with a three-run blast in the seventh. He ended the first half with two home runs over his last 13 games and Friday was his first multi-homer effort since June 15. Santander is slashing .242/.305/.521 with 26 long balls and 63 RBI through 92 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm
    • Tanner Bibee blanks Padres, earns eighth win
Tanner Bibee didn’t allow a run across 5 2/3 innings in a 7-0 win over the Padres on Friday. He walked three and struck out three.

Advice: This was not Bibee’s best game despite not allowing a run. His usually excellent slider was all over the place and he induced just six swings and misses overall. That matched his lowest total of the season. Still, it’s a testament to Bibee’s growth that he was able to keep a solid offense off the board without his best stuff. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:31 pm
    • Tanner Scott grabs four-out save
Tanner Scott was perfect in 1 1/3 to earn the save against the Mets on Friday. He also struck out one batter.

Advice: Scott was called upon with two out, two on, and Francisco Lindor up in the eighth inning when the Marlins were up by just one run. He forced a pop-out and then worked a clean ninth inning to earn his 15th save. Any one could be his last though with the trade deadline looming and Scott likely being dealt to a contender. • Sean Manaea can’t figure out Marlins in loss
Sean Manaea allowed eight hits and five earned runs on Friday against the Marlins. He walked one and struck out one.

Advice: Manaea didn’t do much differently in this poor start than any of his previous good ones, the Marlins just put the ball in play and kept finding holes. Most of their hits came on objectively good pitches as Manae lived on the edges as he often does. That is, until Jake Burger parked a belt-high two-seamer over the center-field fence. This was the first time Manaea allowed more than three earned runs since June 8th. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm

    • Suffers calf strain
Bichette left Friday's game against the Tigers due to a right calf strain.

Advice: Bichette wasn't able to put any weight on his right leg after lining out to right field in the sixth inning, and he's now officially been diagnosed with a strained right calf -- the same injury that caused him to miss the last four games before the All-Star break. The Blue Jays didn't place him on the IL after his initial strain, but there's a good chance he spends some time on the injured list this time around in order to properly address the issue. Leo Jimenez will presumably take over as Toronto's starting shortstop while Bichette recovers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:58 pm

    • Removed with apparent injury
Bichette was removed from Friday's game versus Detroit with an apparent leg injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bichette was hopping to first base as he lined a ball into right field during the sixth inning, and he was reluctant to put any weight on his right leg. The 26-year-old shortstop missed the final four games of the first half due to a strained right calf, and the Blue Jays' trainers will now take a look at him to determine if his latest injury is a related issue.
