    • Slugs another homer
Judge went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Houston on Thursday.

Advice: Judge's eighth-inning solo shot was a massive one, as it traveled an estimated 473 feet. The slugger has turned on his power of late, swatting three homers and driving in six runs over his past four contests. He's now tied with Juan Soto for the team lead with nine home runs and ranks second with 25 RBI on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:33 pm
    • William Contreras raises average to .340 in win
William Contreras went 3-for-4 with an RBI on Thursday in the Brewers’ lopsided win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Contreras capped off a strong three-hit effort with a run-scoring single in the seventh inning that raised his full-season batting average to a remarkable .340 (50-for-147) mark through 37 games. The 26-year-old burgeoning fantasy star won’t sustain a .402 BABIP for much longer, but he’s proven that he’s going to be right around the .300 mark from a batting average standpoint thanks to his consistent hard contact and line-drive rate. The key to making the leap into an even greater offensive force will be whether he starts to put the ball in the air with increased frequency. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:24 pm
    • Ready to increase activity
Jones (back) did light throwing prior to Thursday's game against the Giants and will continue to ramp up his activity Friday or Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has been out since April 30 and did light throwing and running drills Saturday. If this weekend goes according to plan, he could head out on a rehab assignment in the coming days. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:16 pm

    • Sidelined by illness
Rengifo (illness) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Advice: Rengifo has been held out of the lineup for five straight games with the illness, so his stint on the injured list will be retroactive to May 6. Kyren Paris was recalled from Double-A Rocket City in a corresponding move and should take over in a utility role while Rengifo is sidelined. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:40 pm

    • Luis Rengifo (viral infection) lands on 10-day IL
Angels placed INF Luis Renfigo on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 6, with a viral infection.

Advice: Rengifo finally heads to the injured list following a five-game absence due to a viral infection. The 27-year-old infielder should be ready to return when first eligible to be activated later next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:28 pm

    • Aaron Judge clobbers gargantuan 473-foot homer
Aaron Judge walloped a 473-foot solo homer on Thursday in the Yankees’ loss to the Astros.

Advice: Judge’s tape-measure shot to left-center field off Astros relief ace Ryan Pressly slashed New York’s deficit to just a single run in the eighth inning. The 32-year-old former AL MVP Award winner has started to heat up at the dish with three big flies in his last four contests. It’s going to take a while for his surface stats to fully recover from his frosty start, but he’s up to .236/.362/.493 with 19 runs scored, nine homers, 25 RBI and two steals through 175 plate appearances. • Ippei Mizuhara pleads guilty to multiple charges
Shohei Ohtani’s former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara is pleading guilty to multiple charges including bank fraud and subscribing to a false tax return, according to the Associated Press.

Advice: Mizuhara has agreed to plead guilty to bank and tax fraud in a case where federal prosecutors allege he stole nearly $17 million from Ohtani to pay off sports gambling debts to an illegal bookmaking operation. Mizuhara will enter his guilty plea in the coming weeks and is set to be arraigned May 14, bringing an end to one of the more bizarre sagas in baseball history. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:05 pm

    • Lifts homer in win
Santander went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Santander is hitting just .227 over seven games in May and batting .215 on the year, but he has a homer in two of his last three contests. The outfielder has added a .737 OPS through 35 games this season, though that's still a decent margin behind last year's .797 mark. Santander is up to six homers, 24 RBI, 18 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple and no steals through 147 plate appearances while holding down a starting role in right field. • Continues productive stretch
Judge went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and three total RBI against Houston in a 9-4 win Wednesday.

Advice: Judge tagged Houston pitching for three extra-base hits, the first time he's accomplished that feat in a game this season. The slugger swatted a solo shot in the third inning and knocked in two more runs with a double in the sixth. Judge is coming on quickly after a slow start to the campaign -- he's in the midst of a five-game hitting streak during which he's gone 9-for-18 with two homers, four doubles, four walks, six RBI, six runs and a stolen base.
