    Webb (0-1) allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one without walking a batter over one inning to take the extra-inning loss Friday versus the Athletics.

    Advice: Webb allowed the initial runner to score on a Brent Rooker double in the top of the 10th inning, and the Orioles were unable to come back from that. After opening the campaign with a 6.1-inning scoreless streak, Webb has been charged with four runs (three earned) over his last 5.1 innings. The right-hander still has a solid 2.31 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 13:3 K:BB and one hold through 12.2 innings over 14 appearances.     Despite walking five, Nathan Eovaldi allowed just one run over six innings Friday against the Reds.

    Kirby Yates struck out two in a perfect ninth Friday for a save against the Reds.

  • Graham Ashcroft works into seventh in no-decision
    Graham Ashcraft pitched 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball against the Rangers on Friday.

    Advice: Ashcraft allowed seven hits, but since he walked none, only the Evan Carter homer did damage. He has a 4.40 ERA after five starts, and he probably deserves better, what with his 26/7 K/BB and strong groundball rate.     Crawford (1-1) took the loss Friday against the Cubs, allowing four runs (three earned) on 10 hits over six innings. He struck out four.

    Advice: Crawford allowed a season-high 10 hits Friday, though he'd still manage to make it through six innings for a second straight quality start. It's the first time that Crawford's allowed more than one run in a start this year -- he now sports an impressive 1.35 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB across six starts (33.1 innings).     Thielbar allowed a hit and recorded one out to pick up a save over the Angels on Friday.

    Advice: Thielbar entered a 5-2 game with two outs and two runners on base. He gave up an RBI single to Zach Neto -- which was charged to Matt Bowman -- before closing out the contest.     Sandoval (1-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits over 5.2 innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against Minnesota.

    Advice: Sandoval coughed up a solo homer to Carlos Santana in the second inning and the Twins continued to tack on runs throughout the night. Over his last four starts, Sandoval has gone 0-3 while yielding 14 earned runs over 19.2 innings. He generated 13 swinging strikes Friday, his second-highest total of the season.     Ober (2-1) allowed two runs on three this and three walks over 7.1 innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Angels.

    Advice: Ober fired five shutout frames before the Angels broke through with a run in the sixth inning. After he was throttled for eight runs in his season debut, the 28-year-old righty has given up just four runs over his last four starts, dropping his ERA down to 4.21 through 25.2 innings. He's also posted an impressive 24:6 K:BB through 24.1 frames over his last four outings.     Imanaga (4-0) earned the win Friday over the Red Sox, allowing one run on five hits and one walk across 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

    Advice: It was another strong outing from Imanaga, with Boston's lone run coming on a Tyler O'Neill solo homer in the fourth inning. It's safe to say the 30-year-old southpaw has exceeded expectations thus far -- Imanaga's yet to allow more than two earned runs in a start, as his ERA now sits at a stellar 0.98 with a 0.80 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB across five outings (27.2 innings).
