• Nathan Eovaldi doesn’t let walks get him down
Despite walking five, Nathan Eovaldi allowed just one run over six innings Friday against the Reds.

Advice: All three hits Eovaldi allowed were singles, and he struck out eight. Eovaldi wasn’t involved in the decision, so he remains 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA through six starts. He’s due to face the Nationals next. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago
  • Graham Ashcroft works into seventh in no-decision
Graham Ashcraft pitched 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball against the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Ashcraft allowed seven hits, but since he walked none, only the Evan Carter homer did damage. He has a 4.40 ERA after five starts, and he probably deserves better, what with his 26/7 K/BB and strong groundball rate. He’s a fringy mixed-league option, but he’s a big key as far as the Reds’ chances of contending this season. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago
  • Takes first loss
Crawford (1-1) took the loss Friday against the Cubs, allowing four runs (three earned) on 10 hits over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Crawford allowed a season-high 10 hits Friday, though he'd still manage to make it through six innings for a second straight quality start. It's the first time that Crawford's allowed more than one run in a start this year -- he now sports an impressive 1.35 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB across six starts (33.1 innings). He's currently in line for a home matchup with the Giants in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:10 pm

  • Falls to 1-4
Sandoval (1-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits over 5.2 innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against Minnesota.

Advice: Sandoval coughed up a solo homer to Carlos Santana in the second inning and the Twins continued to tack on runs throughout the night. Over his last four starts, Sandoval has gone 0-3 while yielding 14 earned runs over 19.2 innings. He generated 13 swinging strikes Friday, his second-highest total of the season. Sandoval will carry a 6.33 ERA into his next matchup, which is projected to be at home against the Phillies next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:06 pm
  • Notches second win
Ober (2-1) allowed two runs on three this and three walks over 7.1 innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Angels.

Advice: Ober fired five shutout frames before the Angels broke through with a run in the sixth inning. After he was throttled for eight runs in his season debut, the 28-year-old righty has given up just four runs over his last four starts, dropping his ERA down to 4.21 through 25.2 innings. He's also posted an impressive 24:6 K:BB through 24.1 frames over his last four outings. Ober is currently in line for a road matchup with the White Sox next week, where he has a good chance to continue riding this momentum. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm
  • Improves to 4-0
Imanaga (4-0) earned the win Friday over the Red Sox, allowing one run on five hits and one walk across 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: It was another strong outing from Imanaga, with Boston's lone run coming on a Tyler O'Neill solo homer in the fourth inning. It's safe to say the 30-year-old southpaw has exceeded expectations thus far -- Imanaga's yet to allow more than two earned runs in a start, as his ERA now sits at a stellar 0.98 with a 0.80 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB across five outings (27.2 innings). He's currently slated for a road matchup with the Mets in his next start. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm
  • Kyle Harrison holds Pirates off board over six
Kyle Harrison blanked the Pirates over six innings Friday with seven strikeouts, but didn’t qualify for a decision.

Advice: Harrison gets a hard-luck no-decision because the Giants were unable to score a run while he was in the contest. The southpaw didn’t walk anyone while scattering five hits in one of his best starts an MLB hurler. Harrison will have some ups-and-downs as a 22-year-old in his first full season of action, but there’s a chance for the ups to outweigh those downs. He’ll look to build on this against the Red Sox on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:51 pm
  • Quinn Priester holds Giants scoreless over six
Quinn Priester didn’t factor into the decision Friday against the Giants despite not allowing a run over six innings with six strikeouts.

Advice: Both Priester and Kyle Harrison battled zero-for-zero through the first six frames, so neither young hurler qualifies for a win. It’s still an impressive outing for both, and Priester was significantly better than his season debut against the Red Sox last Friday. Priester is still just 23, and there’s a reason he was considered one of the top pitching prospects not that long ago. He gets a friendly matchup next week against the Athletics. • Patrick Sandoval shaky over 5 2/3 in loss to Twins
Pablo Sandoval gave up four runs — three earned — over 5 2/3 innings in a loss Friday to the Twins.

Advice: Sandoval is going through it right now. The southpaw allowed nine hits in this outing, and the only positives are four strikeouts with zero walks. That makes 11 runs allowed over his last two starts, and he now is the owner of a 6.33 ERA. Sandoval will pitch better than this, but in large part because it can’t get much worse. The Phillies are not a team fantasy managers should consider streaming Sandoval against next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:43 pm
