    • Brice Turang steals 13th base in win over Yankees
Brice Turang went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in a win over the Yankees on Friday in 10 innings.

Advice: That steal is already the 13th of the season for Turang. The speedy infielder also singled twice to improve his average to .329 on the season with an .855 OPS to go along with it. This is obviously not sustainable, but it’s worth noting that Turang is a former first-round pick that was considered a top prospect not that long ago. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • X-rays negative
X-rays on Diaz's hand came back negative Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Diaz had to leave Friday's game after getting hit in the hand by a pitch during the eighth inning, but it seems he escaped the incident without suffering any significant damage. He may still step out of the lineup for a game or two to avoid playing with any lingering pain, but an extended absence isn't likely. Rotowire.com Today, 7:43 pm

    • Shota Imanaga breezes through Red Sox, gets to 4-0
Shota Imanaga pitched 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball and struck out seven as the Cubs topped the Red Sox 7-1 on Friday.

Advice: The Red Sox were one of the teams that wanted Imanaga over the winter, and there’s been speculation that they made him a higher offer than the Cubs. He made it look pretty easy tonight; he got 14 whiffs and the average exit velocity against him was a paltry 79.6 mph. This makes him 4-0 with a 0.98 ERA, and he has to be viewed as a top-20 fantasy SP at this point. Rotoworld Today, 7:25 pm

    • Exits after HBP
Diaz was removed from Friday's game against the White Sox after getting hit by a pitch, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Diaz took a 99-mph fastball off his hand during the eighth inning of Friday's contest and was immediately replaced on the bases. He will presumably undergo imaging, and the Rays should offer an update on his status sometime after the game. Rotowire.com Today, 7:07 pm

    • Yandy Díaz leaves game after hit by pitch (hand)
Yandy Díaz was removed from Friday’s game against the Rays after being drilled in the left hand by a pitch from White Sox’ closer Michael Kopech.

Advice: Díaz was the unfortunate victim of a 99.3 mph fastball from Kopech that caught him square on the hand. He’ll head for X-rays to determine if there are any fractures. All fantasy managers can do for now is wait and hope for the best. Expect Rays’ skipper Kevin Cash to provide an update after the game concludes. Rotoworld Today, 7:04 pm

    • Kyle Finnegan slams door on Marlins in ninth
Kyle Finnegan secured his eighth save of the season on Friday night, working a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a two-run lead against the Marlins.

Advice: The 32-year-old right-hander made things look awfully easy in this one, getting Josh Bell on a swinging third strike, Jesus Sanchez on a line out to shortstop and Tim Anderson on a ground ball to second — needing only six pitches (all strikes) to get the job done. The underlying metrics aren’t great, but it’s hard to argue with the results that Finnegan has put up so far. He now boasts a 2.38 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 10/5 K/BB ratio over 11 1/3 innings while converting eight of his first nine save chances. Rotoworld Today, 6:50 pm
    • Fans nine over seven scoreless
Lugo (4-1) earned the win Friday in Detroit after he struck out nine and allowed three hits and two walks across even scoreless innings.

Advice: The right-hander generated 13 swinging strikes on 103 pitches as he and Detroit starter Reese Olson combined to give up just a single run in 14 frames. The swing-and-miss stuff from Lugo was a welcome sight after he posted a 4.1 K/9 through his first five starts of the season. The beginning of Lugo's tenure in Kansas City couldn't have gone much better, as he has a 1.66 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB over 38 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 2:48 pm

    • Cody Bradford (rib) diagnosed with stress fracture
Rangers’ manager Bruce Bochy told reporters on Friday that Cody Bradford has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his rib.

Advice: That explains why the 26-year-old southpaw hasn’t progressed as quickly as the Rangers had hoped in his recovery from a sore lower back. He’s expected to miss at least a month’s worth of action. By the time he’s ready to return, it seems unlikely that there will be a spot for him in the Rangers’ rotation if everyone else is able to stay healthy. Rotoworld Today, 2:23 pm

    • Managing rib stress fracture
Bradford (back) was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his rib Friday and is expected to be sidelined for about a month, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: The left-hander wasn't progressing as expected in his recovery after landing on the shelf April 14 with lower-back soreness, and a rib stress fracture is the apparent culprit. Bradford will now be sidelined through at least late May, and a more specific timeline should come into focus as he ramps up his rehab work. Rotowire.com Today, 2:16 pm
