      Advice: Given his obvious decline in 2022 and ’23, Cronenworth was a very nice surprise to begin this year, batting .285/.349/.503 in his first 39 games.       Advice: Buxton got on base in all four plate appearances, logging an infield single in the third frame and generating a triple in the fifth. It wasn't until the bottom of the eighth that Buxton came around to score, reaching via a base on balls and stealing second base before being plated by Edouard Julien on a base hit.       Advice: In one game, we saw the pluses and minuses of the Will Benson experience. He hit a solo home run off Kyle Gibson but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning with a left-handed reliever on the mound. The 25-year-old flashed some intriguing power and speed upside last year, but he now has a .199/.300/.416 triple slash and the Reds are happy to remove him in the middle of a game when a lefty comes in. He continues to play second base after the Padres’ trade for Luis Arraez. Cronenworth’s average is up to .271 and his OPS is up to .806, both of which would be career-highs. The shortstop continues to cruises with a stellar .307/.366/.561 slash line while adding nine homers, 36 RBI, a major-league-leading 48 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, 15 doubles and six triples over 54 contests this season.
