    • Out of Tuesday's lineup
Buxton is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Buxton has an .820 OPS and 30.8 percent strikeout rate over his past 10 games and will take a seat Tuesday after starting the previous two contests. Willi Castro will shift to center field while Kyle Farmer receives the start at third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:14 pm

    • Byron Buxton picks up first stolen base of 2024
Byron Buxton went 1-for-4 with three runs scored and picked up his first stolen base of the 2024 campaign as the Twins walloped the Angels on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Advice: Buxton reached on a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning and came around to score the first run of the game on an RBI single by Jose Miranda. The 30-year-old outfielder also drew a walk in the seventh inning and scored on a ground out by Carlos Santana. He finished his day with a single in the eighth inning, then swiped second base and scored on an RBI double by Miranda. Buxton has remained relatively healthy so far this season, but is hitting an underwhelming .244/.283/.384 with one homer, 11 RBI and one stolen base. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:14 pm

    • On bench again Sunday
Melendez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: After he surprisingly found himself on the bench Saturday against right-hander Casey Mize, the lefty-hitting Melendez's absence from the lineup Sunday is more expected with ace southpaw Tarik Skubal starting for Detroit. Melendez still looks to have a hold on a strong-side platoon role in the Kansas City outfield, though his grip on a regular job may be loosening in the wake of his poor start to the season. He enters Sunday's contest slashing .198/.278/.407 on the campaign through 90 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:28 am

    • Homers in win
Benson went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Benson homered and donned the celebratory Viking helmet for the fourth time this season. He's scuffled since the middle of the month and entered Saturday's contest on a 3-for-32 (.094) stretch. Despite the struggles, Benson was recently elevated to leadoff against right-handers, but it's unclear if the experiment will continue. The lefty-hitting outfielder is 4-for-21 (.190) with a .227 on-base percentage in five games as the leadoff hitter. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:40 am

    • Launches two massive homers
Alvarez went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI during Saturday's 12-4 win against the Rockies.

Advice: The Houston slugger busted out of a 5-for-25 slump Saturday with two homers that each went 461 feet. Alvarez is off to a bit of a slow start in 2024 with what would be a career-worst .867 OPS, but he's still been plenty productive with seven homers, 17 RBI and 18 runs through 27 games. • Yordan Alvarez homers twice as Astros top Rockies
Yordan Alvarez crushed a pair of home runs and drove in three as the Astros walloped the Rockies 12-4 in Mexico City on Saturday night.

Advice: The 26-year-old slugger victimized Rockies’ right-hander Cal Quantrill in the third inning, demolishing a 461-foot (108.8 mph EV) two-run shot that gave the Astros a 3-2 lead that they would never relinquish. He also tacked on a 461-foot (113.0 mph) solo shot off of Tyler Kinley in the ninth inning. Alvarez finished the night 3-for-5 and is now hitting .283/.358/.509 to go along with seven homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:34 pm

    • Bryon Buxton absent from Twins lineup Saturday
Byron Buxton is not in the Twins’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s showdown against the Angels.

Advice: The oft-injured outfielder will get a breather against Angels’ right-hander Jose Soriano on Saturday evening in Los Angeles. Austin Martin will start in his place in center field and will bat ninth for the Twins on Saturday. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:11 pm

    • Resting Saturday
Buxton isn't in the Twins' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Buxton will sit down for the start of Saturday's contest after going 1-for-5 with an RBI during Friday's series opener. Alex Kirilloff, Austin Martin and Max Kepler will start across the outfield while Trevor Larnach serves as the Twins' designated hitter. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:50 pm

    • Won't start Saturday
Melendez is not in the Royals' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Melendez has gone 0-for-12 over his last four starts, reaching base once on a walk over that span. Dairon Blanco will start in left field and bat eighth against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:14 pm
