    • Returns to lineup Friday
Moreno (mouth) will catch and bat seventh in Friday's contest against the Padres.

Advice: Moreno didn't play Wednesday following a dental procedure, but he's ready to go following the Diamondbacks' off day Thursday. The young catcher sports a disappointing .669 OPS on the season and has yet to go deep. Rotowire.com Today, 12:17 pm
    • Notches sixth save
Doval earned a save against the Red Sox on Thursday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

Advice: Doval entered in the bottom of the ninth with a two-run lead and retired the side in order on 14 pitches. He's given up just two runs over 11 innings since a rough season debut against San Diego on March 30. Doval is locked in as the Giants' closer, as he's now 6-for-6 in save opportunities with a 3.09 ERA on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm
    • Wild in no-decision
Harrison allowed one run on three hits and five walks while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against Boston on Thursday.

Advice: Harrison issued a season-high five free passes -- as many as he had handed out over six starts coming into the contest -- but managed to continuously get out of trouble, as none of the batters he put on base via walk came around to score. The southpaw thus managed to emerge with a no-decision, though his high pitch count of 95 offerings limited him to five frames and prevented him from picking up what could have been his fifth quality start of the campaign. Though Harrison has settled for a no-decision in each of his past two appearances, he's allowed just one run while fanning 14 batters over 11 frames during that span. • Camilo Doval picks up sixth save against Red Sox
Camilo Doval struck out a batter in a scoreless inning of work while picking up a save Thursday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Doval is now up to six saves on the season. The right-hander didn’t allow a hit while picking up a strikeout, and he pounded the zone with 11-of-14 pitches going for strikes. Doval has had some shaky moments in 2024, but the right-hander remains locked into a closing role for a team that should provide plenty of opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:16 pm
    • Kyle Harrison holds Red Sox to one in no-decision
Kyle Harrison went five innings while allowing one run on three hits with seven strikeouts against the Red Sox on Thursday.

Advice: It wasn’t always easy for Harrison despite the strong line. The left-hander didn’t find the strike zone on a consistent basis, as he issued five walks with 57-of-95 pitches counting for strikes. Still, the 22-year-old was able to work around those free passes thanks in large part to those aforementioned strikeouts, and he’s allowed just one run over his last two starts. Harrison will take a 3.79 ERA into a matchup with the Rockies. Just keep in mind that takes place in Colorado. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:16 pm

    • Swats first homer
Murphy went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Wednesday in a loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Murphy put the Giants on the board with a 407-foot solo blast in the third inning, but the team ended up scoring just once more in the contest. The long ball was the first of the season for the backstop, who has struggled to a paltry .100/.206/.233 slash line through 35 plate appearances. Murphy is firmly behind Patrick Bailey on San Francisco's catcher depth chart. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:30 pm

    • Drives in two against LAA
Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-run single and a stolen base during Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Schwarber knocked in both the Phillies runs, plating J.T. Realmuto and Whit Merrifield in the second inning. He even swiped second base after the run-scoring single, marking his second pilfer of the campaign. Schwarber finishes the three-game series against the Halos 4-for-13 (.307) with a three-run home run, five total RBI and three total runs scored. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:05 pm

    • Tom Murphy clubs solo homer in loss Wednesday
Tom Murphy clubbed his first home run of the season on Wednesday night, but it wasn’t enough to power the Giants past the Red Sox in Boston.

Advice: Murphy walloped a 407-foot (106.4 mph EV) solo shot off of Kutter Crawford to lead off the third inning, giving the Giants an early 1-0 lead. It would be short-lived. The 33-year-old backstop finished the night 1-for-3 and is now slashing .100/.206/.233 with two RBI through his first 34 plate appearances on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:59 pm

    • Scratched Wednesday
Moreno was scratched from the Diamondbacks' lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Moreno underwent a dental procedure before Wednesday's game and was scratched as a precaution. Tucker Barnhart will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth, and Moreno should be able to return to the lineup Friday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:27 pm
