    • Keaton Winn may not need rehab start
Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Sunday that Keaton Winn (forearm) may not require a minor league rehab start before rejoining the team’s rotation.

Advice: With Blake Snell (groin) heading back to the injured list, the Giants have a gaping hole to fill in their rotation and Winn could be ready to fill the void. The 26-year-old right-hander has been shelved since May 15 due to a mild right forearm strain. He was supposed to make at least one rehab start at Triple-A Sacramento, but it sounds like the Giants may need to utilize him at the big league level instead. Either way, expect his pitch count to be limited in his first couple of starts back. Rotoworld Today, 6:42 am

    • Could skip rehab start
Winn (forearm) could skip a rehab start in the wake of the Blake Snell (groin) injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Winn remains tentatively scheduled for a rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, but the Giants might need him more in the majors now with Snell expected to land on the injured list. Snell's next turn comes up Saturday, although it's possible Winn is brought back to start earlier than that and the rest of the rotation is pushed back. Because Winn isn't fully stretched out yet, fantasy managers would be best off keeping him benched this week, either way. Rotowire.com Today, 6:11 am

    • Fans eight in no-decision
Pfaadt (2-4) came away with a no-decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing four earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Pfaadt was solid in this one outside of a rough third inning in which he allowed all four of his earned runs courtesy of back-to-back triples. The 25-year-old right-hander has now pitched six or more innings in seven consecutive starts and has yet to pitch less than five innings in any start this season. The second-year pro has been inconsistent, pitching to a 4.32 ERA but his 5.1 K/BB and 1.08 WHIP highlight his ability to miss bats. He will look for more success in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend in San Diego. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:46 pm
    • Gavin Stone fans six in victory over Rockies
Gavin Stone was terrific in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Rockies, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of shutout baseball.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander scattered four hits and a pair of walks on the day. He needed just 75 pitches (53 strikes) to navigate his five frames before turning the ball over to one of the best bullpens in all of baseball. Stone got 15 swings and misses in the ballgame — nine on his slider — while registering a CSW of 31 percent. He has been outstanding for the Dodgers this season, posting a 6-2 record, 2.90 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 47/19 K/BB ratio over 62 innings through his first 11 starts. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he takes on the Yankees in New York on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:12 pm

    • Another scoreless outing
Stone (6-2) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out six over five shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rockies.

Advice: Stone has blanked the Mets and the Rockies over 12 innings across his last two starts. He had a 3.60 ERA as of May 21, but it's down to 2.90 with a 1.19 WHIP and 47:19 K:BB through 62 innings after his pair of scoreless outings. Stone's next start is projected to be much tougher, as he's lined up for a road outing versus the AL-leading Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:23 pm

    • Battles through quality start
Littell struck out two and allowed three runs on 11 hits and one walk over six innings in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Orioles. He didn't factor into the decision.

Advice: Littell's day started by allowing a leadoff homer to Gunnar Henderson, but he somehow managed to keep the Rays in the game despite walking the tight rope throughout most of his six-inning effort. In total, Littell scattered a season-high 11 hits and 12 total baserunners while accumulating a season-low two strikeouts. Despite facing at least five Orioles batters in four of his six innings completed, Littell managed to walk away with a quality start, and his gritty performance kept the door open for the Rays to pull off the comeback win. Littell will look to make things a bit easier on himself during his next start, tentatively slated to take place against these same Orioles next weekend when the O's return the favor and make the trip to Tampa. • Zack Littell gives up 11 hits to Orioles
Zack Littell allowed three runs and 11 hits over six innings Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: It was a rather odd game in Baltimore, in that there were 28 hits and just seven runs. The Orioles outhit the Rays 15-13, outwalked them 2-1 and had three hits with RISP to the Rays’ one, yet the Rays, who were also 0-for-2 stealing bases, ended up winning 4-3. Littell allowed three runs or fewer for the 10th time in 12 starts, even though his hits total topped his previous season high by two. He definitely deserves better than a 2-3 record for his 3.56 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:47 pm

    • Brandon Pfaadt allows four runs in six innings
Brandon Pfaadt pitched six innings on Sunday against the Mets. He struck out eight and walked two batters.

Advice: Pfaadt pitched very well in this game despite the four earned runs. The Mets were swinging over his sweeper all afternoon before a rally with back-to-back triples by Brandon Nimmo and J.D. Martinez fueled all four of their runs. Still, good but not great has been the story with Pfaadt all season. He will take a 4.32 ERA into his next start against the Padres. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:45 pm
    • On bench versus lefty
Busch is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: It's the third straight game on the bench for the 26-year-old, and this time it comes as lefty Nick Lodolo takes the mound for the Reds. Busch had a hot start to the campaign with a 1.062 OPS in his first 19 contests, but he has a .186/.292/.314 slash line and 38.3 percent strikeout rate in his past 35 games. Patrick Wisdom will start at first base Sunday for the Cubs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:50 am
