    • Snaps team scoreless streak
Steer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Steer's ninth-inning single plated Cincinnati's lone run, marked his team-leading 23rd RBI and snapped the club's 26-inning scoreless streak at home. The Reds started five players batting .200 or lower and have had issues scoring of late, batting .185 with 78 strikeouts over the last eight games (six losses). Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage. • Clubs solo homer
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base during Wednesday's 6-2 loss to San Diego.

Advice: Steer advanced to a perfect 8-for-8 on steal attempts this season and belted his fourth home run of the campaign -- and his first since April 6 -- off of Joe Musgrove in the first inning. He's cooled off since going on a tear to open the season and is batting 5-for-40 (.125) with four RBi and three runs scored during his last 11 games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:37 pm

    • Spencer Steer snaps homerless streak Wednesday
Spencer Steer clobbered a solo homer on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Padres.

Advice: Steer kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to left-center field -- his fourth round-tripper of the season -- off Padres starter Joe Musgrove in the opening frame. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 6, snapping a bizarre 22-game homerless drought. The versatile 26-year-old on-base machine is batting .252/.364/.450 with 18 runs scored, four homers, 22 RBI and eight stolen bases through 31 contests. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:47 pm

    • Out against left-hander
Busch is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Mets.

Advice: Southpaw Sean Manaea is on the hill for the Mets, so the left-handed hitting Busch will take a seat. Patrick Wisdom will occupy first base for the Cubs on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:13 pm

    • Fills in at first base
Steer started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Texas.

Advice: Steer moved from his usual left field to first base, replacing the injured Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). The run batted in was just his second in the last 14 games, but Speer continues to the lead the club with 20 RBI through 28 games. The steal was his seventh, nearly half of the 15 he had over 156 games in 2023. Encarnacion-Strand may miss a few more games, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, and Steer could add to his games played at first base. So far, he's made four appearances there. • Snaps slump, logs steal
Steer went 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Steer snapped an 0-for-18 skid in the third inning then stole his sixth base in 26 games and is on pace to surpass the 15 steals he had in 2023. That's the good fantasy news. On the other side, that hitless run came at the tail end of a 5-for-40 (.125) stretch with no extra-base hits and one RBI over 11 games. Rotowire.com Apr 27, 6:58 am

    • Big effort in win
Busch went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Busch has been great so far in his first season with the Cubs, as he's slashing .289/.347/.554 with six home runs and 17 RBI across 24 games. The 26-year-old regularly sits against southpaws, but when a righty is on the mound, Busch looks like a strong fantasy asset at the moment. It helps him that the whole Chicago lineup is clicking during the team's 17-9 start, giving Busch plenty of chances to rack up stats. Rotowire.com Apr 27, 6:32 am

    • Michael Busch goes 3-for-4 in Cubs’ victory
Michael Busch went 3-for-4 with a double and a sac fly against the Red Sox on Friday.

Advice: Busch didn’t hit the ball very well tonight, but he hit it to all of the right spots. His double, which barely qualified as a hard-hit ball at 95.1 mph, would have been an out if not for the Green Monster. One of his other hits was a dribbler down the third base line that just would not go foul. Busch will take it; he came into this one 0-for-15 with nine strikeouts in his previous four games.
