Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage.       Advice: Steer advanced to a perfect 8-for-8 on steal attempts this season and belted his fourth home run of the campaign -- and his first since April 6 -- off of Joe Musgrove in the first inning.     • Spencer Steer snaps homerless streak Wednesday
      Spencer Steer clobbered a solo homer on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Padres.

      Advice: Steer kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to left-center field -- his fourth round-tripper of the season -- off Padres starter Joe Musgrove in the opening frame. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 6, snapping a bizarre 22-game homerless drought.     • Albies picks up two more hits, RBI in loss to M’s
      Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss Tuesday to the Mariners.

      Advice: Albies has driven in runs in both games against Seattle thus far. The switch-hitting infielder got Atlanta on the board in the eighth with a single to score Jarred Kelenic, and Albies is now up to 18 RBI on the season.       Steer started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Texas.

      Advice: Steer moved from his usual left field to first base, replacing the injured Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). The run batted in was just his second in the last 14 games, but Speer continues to the lead the club with 20 RBI through 28 games. The steal was his seventh, nearly half of the 15 he had over 156 games in 2023. Encarnacion-Strand may miss a few more games, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, and Steer could add to his games played at first base. So far, he's made four appearances there.     • Ozzie Albies has two hits in win over Guardians
      Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Guardians on Sunday.

      Advice: Albies’ double was a well-hit 321-foot shot at 96 mph off the bat, and it’s good to see him making authoritative contact so soon since being activated off the IL.       Advice: Making his return from a toe injury that cost him eight games, Albies demonstrated quickly that he was fully healthy, ripping a double and scoring in the fifth inning before adding an RBI single in the sixth. The 27-year-old second baseman has a nine-game hitting streak going, sandwiched around the injury absence, and on the season he's slashing .328/.392/.507 with two homers, two steals, 15 runs and 15 RBI.       Advice: Steer snapped an 0-for-18 skid in the third inning then stole his sixth base in 26 games and is on pace to surpass the 15 steals he had in 2023. That's the good fantasy news.     • Braves activate Ozzie Albies for Friday return
      Braves activated 2B Ozzie Albies from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: Albies returns to the active roster following a stay on the injured list with a fractured right toe. It’s amazing that the 27-year-old needed just the minimum 10 days on the injured list before making his return with the injury he had. On top of that, he was doing fielding drills this past weekend to get ramped up for live action.
