    • Eovaldi goes three innings in return from IL
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two earned runs over three innings in Tuesday’s win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After pitching a perfect first inning, Eovaldi ran into trouble in the second, allowing the first three batters he faced to reach base, with Pavin Smith doubling home Christian Walker to give the Diamondbacks their first run of the night. He would give up another run in the inning on a Eugenio Suárez sacrifice fly. He would only pitch one more inning before being pulled after 37 pitches, functioning somewhat as an opener for the Rangers after the team opted to scratch Dane Dunning from his scheduled start. It was Eovaldi’s first outing since May 2nd after he was placed on the 15-day IL with a groin strain. If he’s back on the five-game rotation, his next start would be scheduled for Monday against the Tigers. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago
    • Marcell Ozuna homers in win over Nationals
Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Ozuna took Matt Barnes deep 413 feet at 107 mph off the bat to score the first run of the game. It was the only run the Braves would need. The home run was his 16th of the season to go along with 48 RBIs. With Ronald Acuna Jr hurt and Matt Olson and Austin Riley off to slower-than-normal starts, Ozuna’s performance has been crucial for Atlanta early in the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:07 pm

    • Brayan Bello strikes out seven in win over Orioles
Brayan Bello allowed three runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: The right-hander struck out seven and walked two on the evening. Bello had a rough first inning, allowing all three runs on three hits, but he bounced back exceptionally well and had his entire arsenal working, registering a 38 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW. Bello’s changeup was particularly effective on Tuesday, getting 10 whiffs on 21 swings, but he also had a 38 percent whiff rate on his slider which will be a big pitch for him if he wants to take the next step in his development. Overall, it was a strong showing for the 25-year-old, and he’ll now take a 4.18 ERA into a showdown with the Tigers this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 6:38 pm
    • Improves to 6-2
Bello (6-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Orioles, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Baltimore got to Bello early Tuesday, scoring three runs in the opening frame, before the right-hander settled in and blanked the Orioles over his subsequent four frames while allowing just one additional hit. It's the fifth win for Bello in his last six starts. His ERA sits at 4.18 through nine outings (47.1 innings) this year with a 1.18 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB. Bello's tentatively in line for a second start this week Sunday at home versus Detroit. Rotowire.com Today, 6:35 pm
    • Gerrit Cole (elbow) to face hitters again Thursday
Gerrit Cole (elbow) will face hitters again on Thursday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: It’ll be the third time that Cole faces hitters as he continues ramping up his progression towards a potential June return to New York’s starting rotation. He’s presumably getting close to a minor league rehab start at some point in the near future, but the Yankees are clearly not rushing him back. Rotoworld Today, 5:12 pm

    • Facing pitch count in return
Eovaldi (groin) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, but Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said the right-hander will be on an unspecified pitch count, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: The 34-year-old suffered the groin strain during his May 2 start against Washington and will rejoin the big-league rotation without embarking on a rehab assignment. Eovaldi shouldn't be expected to pitch deep into Tuesday's contest given the workload limitations. Rotowire.com Today, 3:25 pm
    • Nathan Eovaldi starting Tuesday against D-backs
Rangers activated RHP Nathan Eovaldi from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Eovaldi will take the ball on Tuesday evening against the Diamondbacks following a three-week stint on the injured list recovering from a right groin strain. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander has remained a rock-solid mid-rotation stabilizer for fantasy managers this season, when healthy, with a sparkling 2.61 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 44/19 K/BB ratio across 41 1/3 innings (seven starts). • Will start for Texas on Tuesday
Eovaldi (groin) will start Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Eovaldi has missed nearly all of May with a strained right groin, but he will skip a rehab assignment and go right back into the Rangers' rotation. The right-hander would figure to be relatively limited from a workload perspective Tuesday, although the Rangers haven't revealed any specifics regarding a pitch count. Dane Dunning had been on turn to start Tuesday but will now take the ball Wednesday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:52 pm
    • Starling Marte sitting first game of doubleheader
Starling Marte is not in the lineup for the first game of a doubleheader versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Marte will get the first game of the twin-billing off. While he sits, the Mets will have Tyrone Taylor handle center field with DJ Stewart in right field. Harrison Bader is also out of the lineup for the first game against Tyler Glasnow and the Dodgers. Rotoworld Today, 9:37 am
