• Carlos Correa (intercostal) officially off of IL
Twins activated INF Carlos Correa off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Correa ended up missing a couple of weeks with his intercostal strain. The infielder is back with Austin Martin heading back to Triple-A in the corresponding transaction. Now that Correa is back, he’ll play everyday at shortstop and hit in the middle of the Minnesota lineup. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Austin Martin optioned to Triple-A by Twins
Twins optioned INF Austin Martin to Triple-A St. Paul.

Advice: Martin appeared in 22 games with the Twins before the demotion and hit .226 with a .665 OPS over 62 at-bats. Because of his positional versatility, there’s a good chance he’s back with the Twins before the season comes to an end. Carlos Correa is off the injured list in the corresponding move. • Gets fourth straight start
Farmer will start at second base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Farmer is included in the lineup for a fourth straight game, but his ongoing presence in the starting nine is a byproduct of the Twins facing three left-handed starting pitchers during that stretch. The 33-year-old is still expected to hit the bench when the Twins oppose right-handers more often than not. Rotowire.com Today, 12:37 pm

  • Comes off IL
The Twins reinstated Correa (intercostal) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Correa ended up spending about two and a half weeks on the IL after being deactivated April 13 with a right intercostal strain. Though he wasn't sent out on a minor-league rehab assignment prior to being activated, Correa should immediately take back an everyday role at shortstop as he rejoins the active roster ahead of Monday's series opener versus the White Sox. Outfielder Austin Martin was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 10:58 am

  • Sent to Triple-A
The Twins optioned Martin to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Advice: As anticipated, Martin will forfeit his spot on the 26-man active roster with the Twins reinstating Carlos Correa (intercostal) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Martin's demotion should clear the way for Trevor Larnach to man left field on an everyday basis, at least against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 10:55 am

  • Slated to return Monday
The Twins will activate Correa (oblique) from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game versus the White Sox, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: Correa will skip a rehab assignment and go ahead and rejoin the major-league roster instead following a two-plus-week absence with a right intercostal strain. Willi Castro has been operating as the Twins' everyday shortstop since Correa went down with the injury but will now re-enter the mix for starts at third base and also the outfield. • Correa (intercostal) expected to be activated Mon.
Carlos Correa (intercostal) is expected to be activated Monday.

Advice: Nothing is official yet, but Dan Hayes of The Athletic also hears that Austin Martin is expected to be optioned to Triple-A. Correa has been sidelined for a couple of weeks with a right intercostal strain, and will try to help keep the Twins’ hot streak going. Rotoworld Today, 10:24 am

  • Expected to head to minors
The Twins are expected to option Martin to Triple-A St. Paul ahead of Monday's game against the White Sox, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Shortstop Carlos Correa (oblique) is on track to come off the 10-day injured list Monday, and Martin looks like he'll move off the 26-man active roster in a corresponding move. Martin has been a near-everyday player for Minnesota since being called up from Triple-A on March 30 while slashing .226/.294/.371 across 68 plate appearances, but the Twins aren't expected to have regular at-bats available for both him and Trevor Larnach with Correa back in the fold and with Max Kepler recently coming off the IL. As a result, Martin will be the odd man out and head back to Triple-A, while Larnach should continue to play regularly versus right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 10:19 am

  • Pablo Reyes designated for assignment
Red Sox have designated INF Pablo Reyes for assignment.

Advice: The Red Sox needed to make a move to the active roster in order to make room for recently acquired Garrett Cooper. With Ceddanne Rafaela now a full-time infielder and Vaughn Grissom on his way back from the injured list, Reyes was less needed in Boston. The 30-year-old is hitting .183/.234/.217 in 64 plate appearances with five RBI and one steal. There is a chance that he latches on with somebody else as versatile infield depth.
