    Luzardo (elbow) will play catch Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: The Marlins haven't provided word regarding the findings of the test results on Luzardo's left elbow from over the weekend, but the fact that he's already been cleared to throw just three days after landing on the 10-day injured list certainly seems like a good sign.     Arrighetti is slated to start Thursday's game against the Guardians at Minute Maid Park.

    Advice: With Justin Verlander recently returning from the injured list, Arrighetti looked like a candidate to lose out on a rotation spot, but Houston is ultimately keeping the rookie around as their No. 5 starter after the club instead chose to option J.P. France to Triple-A Sugar Land last week. Arrighetti likely doesn't have a long leash with Houston, however, as he's posted a 10.97 ERA and 2.34 WHIP in 10.2 innings through his first three big-league outings.     Brown is scheduled to start Thursday's game versus the Mets at Citi Field.

    Advice: After making two consecutive appearances out of the bullpen, Brown moved back into the rotation over the weekend following Kyle Hendricks (back) move to the 15-day injured list. Brown ended up taking a loss in his start Saturday versus the Red Sox, striking out four over 3.2 innings while allowing three earned runs on seven hits and zero walks. Despite the lackluster outing, Brown will get at least one more turn through the rotation while the Cubs wait for both Hendricks and Jordan Wicks (forearm) to make their returns from the IL.     Martinez is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Padres at Petco Park.

    Advice: He'll make a second straight turn through the rotation as a replacement for Frankie Montas (forearm), who was forced to the injured list April 22. In his return to a starting role last Thursday following a brief stint in the bullpen, Martinez was roughed up by the Phillies for five earned runs on 11 hits over six innings.     Law (2-1) picked up the win in Sunday's comeback victory over the Marlins, pitching two scoreless innings and allowing two hits. He struck out three without walking a batter.

    Advice: Patrick Corbin got chased after coughing up seven runs (four earned) in four innings, but Law steadied the ship in the fifth and sixth and watched the Nationals offense come to life, erasing a 7-0 deficit. The 33-year-old right-hander remains in a low-leverage role, but he's pitched reasonable well to begin the season with a 3.00 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB through 18 innings.     Wesneski did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk while striking out three in four innings.

    Advice: All five hits Wesneski gave up went for singles. The Red Sox quickly got one in the first inning, though it was unearned after an error extended the frame. Wesneski later surrendered a second run in the third after Rafael Devers led off with a single and eventually found his way home. Wesneski has now gone four innings in two of his three appearances this season, though Sunday was his first as a starter, and his 63 pitches were the most he's thrown since Oct. 3, 2022. With Jordan Wicks (forearm) going on the IL, Wesneski will have an opportunity to stick in the rotation for the foreseeable future, and lines up for a home start against the Brewers his next time out.     Walker (1-0) picked up the win over the Padres on Sunday, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 6.1 innings.

    Advice: The Padres piled on all six of their runs in just two innings. They got to Walker for three runs in the third with Fernando Tatis doubling home Jurickson Profar before coming home on a two-run blast from Jake Cronenworth. Walker was able to cruise into the seventh where he ran into more trouble, as the Padres added three more runs on a home run from Luis Campusano to make it a 7-6 game. His day would end there and he was able to squeak by with an ugly win. He'll look for some better results next time and is projected to take the mound next weekend against the Giants.     Pfaadt did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners. He allowed two runs on five hits while striking out 11 over six innings.

    Advice: Pfaadt did not get off to an ideal start after allowing a leadoff home run to Josh Rojas, though he was able to settle in quickly with the only other extra-base hit being a triple by Leonardo Rivas. Pfaadt ended his day by retiring the final 11 batters he faced. His 11 strikeouts set a new career high, and he relied heavily on his sweeper, registering nine of his 17 whiffs on that pitch. He's now allowed two runs or fewer in three straight starts and will take a 4.63 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB into his next start, projected to come against San Diego next weekend.     Bradley did not allow a hit and walked one while striking out seven across five scoreless innings Sunday in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
