    Advice: McKenna has gotten into the lineup against the last three southpaws the Orioles have faced -- twice in center field and once in left. The outfielder has three hits this season, two of which have left the yard. He's still unlikely to see much more than a short-side platoon role, and McKenna's stay on the major-league roster is likely to end once Austin Hays (calf) is activated from the injured list.     Advice: Florial had sat out the last two games amid a 1-for-16 slump, during which he had eight strikeouts and two walks. The 26-year-old may have a clearer path to at-bats with Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to the injured list, though prospect Kyle Manzardo will also command a large role. On the year, Florial is slashing .200/.284/.417 with three home runs, two steals, nine RBI and five runs scored over 68 plate appearances.     Advice: Gordon was perfect at the plate Sunday, starting with his three-run jack in the first inning. Since his last multi-hit performance April 20, he'd been stuck in a 3-for-26 slump over 12 games. His homer Sunday was his fourth of the year and first since April 14.   • Jake McCarthy has three hits in win over SD
    Jake McCarthy went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI in an 11-4 win over the Padres.

    Advice: McCarthy had a double and two singles on the night and is now slashing .311/.366/.392. The 26-year-old has been hitting leadoff consistently for the Diamondbacks but with Alek Thomas set to return from the IL this week, it’s unclear how the Diamondbacks will split playing time between him and McCarthy.     Advice: DeLuca delivered in the 10th inning, notching his first career triple and plating Jose Caballero and Ben Rortvedt to secure a Rays victory.     Nick Gordon went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored in a 12-3 win over the A’s on Sunday.

    Advice: Gordon got the party started with a 406-foot home run off Joe Boyle in the first inning that was 104.7 mph off the bat and drove in three runs. He added two more singles and a double, all of which were hit at least 98 mph. The 28-year-old has started four of the last six games but is slashing just .207/.241/.390 on the season with four home runs and 15 RBI. He should be left on the wire outside of the deepest formats.   • Adam Frazier goes 0-for-3 against Rangers
    Adam Frazier went 0-for-3 before being removed for defense Sunday against the Rangers.

    Advice: Frazier got the nod in right field today even though he came in with a .176/.300/.206 line in 80 plate appearances. That’s really the problem with signing an Adam Frazier. He’s not this bad, but he’s also very unlikely to be very good and managers just love forcing him into the lineup.   • Swipes two bags in loss
    Blanco secured two stolen bases in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Rangers.

    Advice: Blanco entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning as a pinch runner for Vinnie Pasquantino, stealing both second and third base. The outfielder is now up to eight stolen bases this season and he's gotten three total swipes over the last three games.     Advice: Bouchard followed teammate Jacob Stallings' two-run blast with a shot of his own during a second inning that saw the Rockies jump out to an early three-run lead. It was the first homer of the campaign for Bouchard, who later added a double for his first multi-hit effort of the season. Bouchard got the starting nod against Pirates lefty Bailey Falter, marking his first start in four games, as he appears to be mired on the short side of a platoon in right field with Jake Cave, pending the return of Kris Bryant (back), who's currently on the injured list.
