    • José Berríos gets tough luck loss against Royals
José Berríos allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Berríos was good, but Cole Ragans was just better. Berríos also struck out just three on the evening while walking one and posting just a 13 percent whiff rate. He did register a 27 percent CSW thanks to his ability to pound the zone with his sinker, but his curve and changeup couldn’t consistently find the zone and he got few chases out of the zone on that breaking ball which limited his overall effectiveness. Berríos has outpitched his peripheries so far this year and there is some regression coming on his 1.44 ERA but you can still start him every game while he’s pitching like this, including next week against the Phillies. • MacKenzie Gore strikes out seven Rangers in loss
MacKenzie Gore allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out seven in Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Fantasy managers couldn’t have hoped for much more out of Gore against a potent Rangers lineup. Despite getting saddled with a tough loss, Gore allowed just seven total base runners over five innings but fell victim to the long ball on solo blasts from Jonah Heim and Josh Smith. Gore struck out six or more batters in four of his six starts this month and is now sporting a 3.19 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. He’s been a pleasant surprise for the Nationals thus far and will look to continue his hot start in his next outing, which is slated for Sunday against the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Today, 7:34 pm
    • Absent from lineup Tuesday
Muncy is not in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Muncy started against southpaw Tommy Henry on Monday, but will take a seat with lefty Jordan Montgomery on the bump for Arizona on Tuesday. Despite the Dodgers scoring eight runs against the Diamondbacks in Monday's win, the third baseman went hitless across five plate appearances. Enrique Hernandez will get the start at third and bat sixth Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 2:55 pm
    • Nick Pivetta making rehab start on Thursday
Nick Pivetta (elbow) is scheduled to make a minor league rehab start on Thursday.

Advice: Pivetta is targeting an early-May return to Boston’s starting rotation after landing on the injured list back on April 9 with a flexor strain in his right elbow. The 31-year-old righty is only expected to require one rehab outing before returning. It’s unclear whether he’ll have any initial workload restrictions yet. Rotoworld Today, 1:38 pm

    • Hits mid-90s in bullpen
Senga (shoulder) reached the mid-90s with his fastball during Monday's bullpen against live hitters and used all of his pitches in the session, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Mets have been very deliberate so far with Senga's recovery from a shoulder capsule strain, but the organization's patience seems to be paying off. While the right-hander feels he will be back in the big-league rotation right around when he's first eligible to come off the IL on May 27, general manager David Stearns wouldn't sign off on that timeline, indicating Monday that he couldn't say whether Senga would be back in late May or early June. The 31-year-old is set to face live hitters two more times before beginning a rehab assignment around May 11. Rotowire.com Today, 7:06 am

    • Delivers run in loss
Suarez went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Suarez was involved in Arizona's three-run fifth inning, plating a run with a single. His bat has slumbered to start the season (.229 average, .634 OPS), but the third baseman has managed to deliver with runners on base. Suarez is third on the club with 18 RBI, fueled by a .414 average with runners in scoring position. Rotowire.com Today, 4:26 am
    • Notches two more thefts
Acuna went 1-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases Monday in a loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Acuna's wheels were key in the production of Atlanta's only run, as the star outfielder began the seventh inning by reaching on an infield single, subsequently stole both second and third base, and came around to score on an Ozzie Albies double. Acuna also struck out three times in the contest, and he's now fanned multiple times in three straight games, but fantasy managers are likely to mostly ignore that as long as he continues to run wild on the basepaths. Acuna began the campaign with just one steal through his first nine games, but he's since racked up 12 steals over his subsequent 18 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:53 pm
    • Griffin Canning gives up four runs to Phillies
Griffin Canning yielded four runs and five walks in five innings Monday against the Phillies.

Advice: Canning managed just one strikeout and four missed swings tonight. There still might be some hope for him if he recovers the two mph he’s lost since last season, but he’s not a very good bet at the moment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 pm
    • Walks five in no-decision
Canning allowed four runs on three hits and five walks over five innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out one during the win over Philadelphia.

Advice: Canning was tagged with three runs in the first inning but held the Phillies off the score sheet until they pushed across another run in the fifth. He threw just 44 of 86 pitches for strikes and set a new season high with five free passes. Canning had walked three batters over his previous three starts (14.1 innings). His ERA sits at 7.45 with a 21:12 K:BB through 29 frames. Canning is projected to start in Cleveland this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:38 pm
