    • Swats three-run homer
Naylor went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 10-9 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Naylor launched his seventh home run of the campaign and scored multiple times for the second time this season. Even with Naylor's long ball, he's batting 3-for-22 (.136) over his last six games. However, he's added a pair of stolen bases and has struck out four times to three walks during that stretch. • Falls to Baltimore
Cortes (1-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Orioles, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Three of Baltimore's four runs off Cortes came in the fourth inning, as the 29-year-old left-hander took a second straight loss. Cortes had gone seven innings in each of his previous two outings, allowing just three runs while striking out 13 in that span. His ERA now sits at 3.86 with a 1.10 WHIP and 37:7 K:BB across seven starts (42 innings). Cortes is currently scheduled to face the Tigers at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 8:48 pm
    • Andres Giménez hits first homer of 2024 vs. Astros
Andrés Giménez went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.

Advice: Giménez hit his first home run of the season on Tuesday when he took Cade Smith deep to right for a two-run bomb. Giménez closes out the first month of the season with a line of .280/.347/.374 to go with one homer, 17 RBI, and 17 runs scored. While he doesn’t provide much power, Giménez is providing plenty as far as scoring and driving in runs are concerned. Rotoworld Today, 8:35 pm
    • Nestor Cortes hit around in no decision
Nestor Cortes allowed four runs on eight hits in six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Tuesday. It wasn’t a bad day overall for Cortes, who has a 20 percent whiff rate but just a 24 percent CSW. The Orioles weren’t fooled by much and had 11 hard-hit baseballs against Cortes on the night. The left-hander relies a lot on deception, so when hitters have their timing against him, it’s going to be hard for him to find success. He’s been good more often than not this season and will carry a 3.86 ERA into a start against the Tigers that he should be in all lineups for.

    • Nails down save No. 10
Helsley struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 10th save of the season in the first game of a doubleheader against the Tigers.

Advice: All 10 pitches Helsley fired were strikes, and he hit triple digits on the radar gun with three of them. The right-hander has been lights out to begin the season, converting 10 of 11 save chances with a 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB through 16 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:08 pm
    • Freddy Peralta ejected Tuesday after hitting batter
Freddy Peralta was ejected from Tuesday’s start against the Rays.

Advice: Peralta was absolutely dealing in this one, striking out seven and allowing just two runs over 5 1/3 innings before he and Brewers manager Pat Murphy were both ejected by home plate umpire Chris Guccione in the sixth inning after Jose Siri, who homered earlier in the contest, was plunked by a 3-0 pitch. The ejection was made even more outrageous by the fact that Milwaukee held a five-run lead at the time. The 27-year-old righty will face the Royals on Monday in his next outing. • Ryan Helsley nets 10th save Tuesday vs. Tigers
Ryan Helsley tossed a perfect ninth inning on Tuesday against the Tigers to collect his major league-leading 10th save of the season.

Advice: Helsley got the call to protect a slim one-run margin in the final frame after St. Louis stormed ahead with a pair of runs in the top of the frame and needed just 10 pitches (10 strikes) to slam the door. He’s converted 10 of his 11 save opportunities this season and continues rolling. Rotoworld Today, 3:14 pm
    • Reinstated Tuesday, as expected
The Twins activated Duran (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Minnesota will finally have its closer healthy and available after Duran missed the first month of the season due to an oblique strain. The right-hander labored a bit during his first rehab outing, but he looked like himself during his second and final appearance Saturday, as he averaged 101.8 mph with his fastball. Manager Rocco Baldelli hasn't officially indicated whether or not Duran will immediately slot back in as the Twins' closer, but he seems likely to get ninth-inning chances sooner than later. • Twins activate Jhoan Duran for Tuesday return
Twins activated RHP Jhoan Duran (oblique) from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Duran will make his season debut this week, reclaiming his role as Minnesota’s closer, following a one-month stint on the injured list to open the year. He was sent to Triple-A St. Paul for a rehab assignment over the weekend and it appears all went well and he’s been given the green light to return to the active roster. The 26-year-old finished last year with a career-high 27 saves and a 2.45 ERA across 62 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 11:05 am
