    • Mitch Keller gives up three runs in loss to A’s
Mitch Keller dropped to 2-3 after allowing three runs in five innings Tuesday against the A’s.

Advice: Keller struck out seven tonight, so that’s not bad. Still, he should have far better than a 5.18 ERA while facing a pretty easy schedule to date. His slider is just broken, and his lack of a true offspeed pitch has caught up to him big time. There’s still plenty of hope here for the long run, but we’d feel better about him if he pitched for a team with more of a clue. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:38 pm
    • Middling once again
Keller (2-3) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings against the A's. He struck out seven.

Advice: Although Keller punched out seven batters for a second consecutive outing, he was tagged for a trio of runs, including a solo homer by JJ Bleday. After entering the 2024 season with relatively high expectations, Keller has fallen to a 5.18 ERA through 40.0 innings and has surrendered five or more hits in all seven starts. He's scheduled for a home start against the Angels on Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:48 pm
    • Lands six-out win
Hader (1-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one unearned run on one hit and one walk with four strikeouts over two innings against the Guardians.

Advice: Hader surrendered a double to David Fry in the 10th inning that plated designated runner Josh Naylor as the go-ahead run. Still, Hader ended up with his first victory of the campaign following a Victor Caratini walk-off homer. After a bounce-back 2023 season, Hader looks to be back in his 2022 form when he posted a 5.22 ERA across 56 appearances, owning a 6.39 ERA across 12.2 innings this year. • Assad struggles to miss bats in no decision
Javier Assad allowed one run on five hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Assad didn’t walk a batter on the night, but he had just one strikeout, a seven percent whiff rate, and a 17 percent CSW. He had just three whiffs on 45 swings in the game and all three of them came on version of a fastball. Assad doesn’t have overpowering stuff, but he can mix and match the shapes and movement on his fastball and has a deep six-pitch arsenal that keeps hitters off balance. That worked tonight and it’s worked for much of the season as evidenced by his 1.97 ERA, but it’s a risky tightrope to walk. He’s still worth starting in most formats while he’s going well, but he can possibly be benched in shallower leagues with weekend against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:20 pm

    • Woods Richardson allows two runs in short outing
Simeon Woods Richardson pitched 3 2/3 innings while allowing seven hits and two runs in the Twins’ win over the White Sox.

Advice: Woods Richardson struggled to keep runners off base in this one. In addition to allowing seven hits, he also walked two batters and was pulled after 81 pitches. He was fortunate to allow only two runs after he allowed two of his first three batters faced to reach base in the second and third innings, but RBI singles by Eloy Jimenez and Tommy Pham led to little damage. Tuesday marked Woods Richardson’s shortest outing of the season after he had previously pitched out of the fifth and sixth innings in his first two starts. His next start is slated for Monday against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:53 pm
    • Stingy in no-decision Tuesday
Assad came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Mets, allowing one run on five hits over five innings. He struck out one without walking a batter.

Advice: The 26-year-old righty didn't allow much hard contact, as all five hits off him were singles, and Assad tossed 55 of 78 pitches for strikes before leaving the mound with the score tied 1-1. He's had an impressive start to his campaign, and Assad will take a 1.97 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 27:9 K:BB through 32 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Brewers. • Jon Gray allowed one run over 8 IP vs. Nationals
Jon Gray allowed one earned run on three hits over eight innings in the Rangers’ win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Gray’s lone run allowed came in the first inning after Luis Garcia drove in C.J. Abrams to give the Nats their first and only lead on the night. Gray only notched three strikeouts in this one, but eight strong frames proved to be more than enough for the Rangers to get the win over a Nats team that was held to just three hits. Gray is now 1-1 with a 2.48 ERA on the season. He’ll look to earn his second win of the season on Sunday against the Royals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm

    • Continues hot stretch
Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a 6-5 win against the Phillies.

Advice: Adell batted out of the No. 2 spot for the first time this season and immediately made his presence felt with a solo homer in the first inning. The long ball was his second in three games, and he's knocked in five runs over that stretch. Adell has been swinging a hot bat since mid-April -- he's reached base safely in 10 straight contests and is slashing .407/.484/.815 with three home runs, eight RBI, five runs and a stolen base during that span. • Halts skid
Gurriel went 1-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Gurriel doubled in the fifth inning to snap an 0-for-15 slide and eventually came around to score on a wild pitch. The outfielder is slashing .265/.312/.444 with five home runs and a team-high 22 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:20 am
