      Advice: Thomas is set to play Tuesday and Wednesday before being reevaluated. Assuming all goes well, it would set him up to be activated ahead of the Nationals' weekend series against the Mariners.     • Nearing game action
      Robert (hip) is still awaiting his first action at the team's complex in Glendale, Ariz., Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. "We anticipate some game action later this week,'' general manager Chris Getz said. "He seems to have turned the corner and is trending well."

      Advice: There was some hope that Robert would get into games in Arizona last week, but the White Sox decided not to push it. Robert missed more than three months with a similar injury in 2021, so it makes sense that the organization would take a cautious approach.     • Leaves yard twice
      Tucker went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in Sunday's win over the Brewers.

      Advice: After striking out in his first three at-bats, Tucker belted a solo homer in the sixth inning and a three-run shot in the seventh. He's gone deep 10 times in his last 20 games after snapping a six-game drought Sunday. It was also his third multi-homer game and first since April 12.       Kyle Tucker went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a 9-4 win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Tucker did strike out in his other three at-bats, but let’s not dampen the day. The 27-year-old blasted a 390-foot home run at 107 mph in the sixth inning and then followed that up with a 99.2 mph home run in the seventh.       Morel went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Pirates.

      Advice: Morel's line drive to center in the bottom of the ninth inning brought in Cody Bellinger with the game-winning run. It was a nice effort for Morel, who's been productive this month despite batting just .220 in May. The production has come mostly in the power department, as the 24-year-old has five home runs this month across 17 games. Morel came into May with four long balls over his first 29 contests.       Jones (back) is expected to be recalled from his rehab assignment following Sunday's game with Triple-A Albuquerque, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Jones has appeared in three games with Albuquerque, starting twice in left field and once at designated hitter. He's lined up for a fourth appearance Sunday and will rejoin the big-league club as it travels to Oakland.       Ward went 2-for-6 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

      Advice: Ward was the only Angel with multiple hits in the 13-inning marathon. He's logged three straight multi-hit games, swatting a homer in each of them to reach 10 long balls on the year. The outfielder is slashing .275/.320/.494 with 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, nine doubles and two stolen bases over 45 contests.       Christopher Morel went 1-for-3, driving in the winning run in the Cubs’ 1-0 win over the Pirates on Saturday.

      Advice: The Cubs and Pirates were scoreless going into the bottom of the ninth in what turned out to be a pitcher’s duel. Cody Bellinger reached scoring position with a one-out double off David Bednar. Morel followed with a base hit to walk it off, bringing Bellinger home for the winning run.       Ward went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-3 win against Texas.

      Advice: Ward padded what was already a large Angels lead with a solo shot in the sixth inning. It was his second homer in his past two contests and gave him an RBI in three straight games.
