    • Dealing with wrist injury
Kim was hit by a pitch on his left wrist in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kim took a 94 mph fastball from Walker Buehler off his left wrist in the bottom of the fourth inning, ultimately exiting the contest the following frame. The infielder underwent x-rays on his arm following the contest and they came back negative according to manager Mike Shildt, which bodes well for Kim moving forward. The 28-year-old can be considered day-to-day for the time being ahead of San Diego's three-game series with the Rockies at home beginning Monday. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

    • Ryan Helsley perfect in earning 12th save
Ryan Helsley notched his 12th save with a perfect ninth against the Brewers on Sunday.

Advice: Helsey struck out two. He’s been credited with a win or a save in 87.5% of the Cardinals’ 16 victories this season. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm
    • Luis Gil twirls six shutout in win over Rays
Luis Gil threw six shutout innings in a win over the Rays on Sunday, allowing three hits while striking out three.

Advice: Gil also walked two on the day and showed solid enough command, pounding the zone with his four-seam fastball over 60 percent of the time. The changeup was the only pitch that wasn’t consistently landing in the zone, but he got plenty of swings and misses with a 29 percent whiff rate on it. It wasn’t a dominant effort with a 23 percent CSW, but he didn’t allow much hard contact. His season ERA is now down to 2.51, and he has a great start against the White Sox next weekend and should be started in all league types. Rotoworld Today, 1:50 pm

    • Dodgers expect Ohtani (back) to return Monday
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that the team hasn’t made a decision as to whether Shohei Ohtani (back) is available off the bench for Sunday’s game against the Padres.

Advice: Roberts noted that Ohtani was able to take part in some pregame activity, but the team ultimately decided to give the 29-year-old a day off after leaving Saturday with back tightness. Most importantly, it sounds like Ohtani has a good chance to be back for Monday’s game against the Giants. Even if he was able to miss that game, it does appear the superstar has avoided a long-term injury. Rotoworld Today, 11:33 am

    • Out Sunday with back tightness
Ohtani (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Ohtani's absence from the starting nine was fully expected after he was removed from Saturday's 5-0 win over the Padres following his fourth at-bat of the night due to lower-back tightness. According to ESPN.com, manager Dave Roberts said he had minimal concern about Ohtani's health, but the star designated hitter will nonetheless sit out the series finale in San Diego. The Dodgers are seemingly hopeful that Ohtani can return to the lineup for Monday's series opener in San Francisco. Rotowire.com Today, 10:09 am

    • Shohei Ohtani out Sunday with back tightness
Shohei Ohtani (back) is not in the lineup Sunday against the Padres.

Advice: Ohtani was removed from Saturday’s game with tightness in his back, and he’ll miss at least one full game while recovering. Will Smith will be the designated hitter while Ohtani rests and Austin Barnes behind the plate. For now, the two-time MVP should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 10:04 am

    • Ryan Jeffers out Sunday against Blue Jays
Ryan Jeffers is not in the starting lineup versus the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Jeffers will get Sunday off for the series finale against the Jays. Christian Vazquez is starting behind the plate and hitting seventh. Rotoworld Today, 9:08 am

    • Christopher Morel (knee) back in lineup Sunday
Christopher Morel (knee) is hitting fifth and playing third base against the Pirates.

Advice: Morel left Saturday’s game with right knee soreness, but it was purely precautionary, and he’ll get the start against the Bucs on Sunday. Morel has played relatively well in May with four homers, but his .220 average on the season is a bit of a disappointment. Rotoworld Today, 8:20 am

    • Back in action Sunday
Morel (knee) will start at third base and bat cleanup Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Morel exited in the fifth inning of Saturday's 10-9 loss to Pittsburgh with right knee soreness after he appeared to get hurt on a stolen base attempt in the top of the third. The injury looks to be a minor one, however, given that the 24-year-old is back in the lineup a day later. Morel has gone 8-for-34 with four home runs, 11 RBI and two stolen bases in May.
