    • Dealing with wrist injury
Kim was hit by a pitch on his left wrist in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kim took a 94 mph fastball from Walker Buehler off his left wrist in the bottom of the fourth inning, ultimately exiting the contest the following frame. The infielder underwent x-rays on his arm following the contest and they came back negative according to manager Mike Shildt, which bodes well for Kim moving forward. The 28-year-old can be considered day-to-day for the time being ahead of San Diego's three-game series with the Rockies at home beginning Monday. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Christopher Morel (knee) back in lineup Sunday
Christopher Morel (knee) is hitting fifth and playing third base against the Pirates.

Advice: Morel left Saturday’s game with right knee soreness, but it was purely precautionary, and he’ll get the start against the Bucs on Sunday. Morel has played relatively well in May with four homers, but his .220 average on the season is a bit of a disappointment. Rotoworld Today, 8:20 am

    • Back in action Sunday
Morel (knee) will start at third base and bat cleanup Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Morel exited in the fifth inning of Saturday's 10-9 loss to Pittsburgh with right knee soreness after he appeared to get hurt on a stolen base attempt in the top of the third. The injury looks to be a minor one, however, given that the 24-year-old is back in the lineup a day later. Morel has gone 8-for-34 with four home runs, 11 RBI and two stolen bases in May. • Christopher Morel exits game with sore right knee
The Cubs announced that Christopher Morel was pulled from Saturday’s ballgame against the Pirates due to right knee soreness.

Advice: The severity of the injury remains unclear, but the fact that they’re calling the issue just soreness bodes well for Morel’s outlook. It’s likely that he’ll receive a day off on Sunday as a precautionary measure, but it seems plausible that he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:09 pm

    • Exits with right knee injury
Morel was removed from Saturday's game versus the Pirates in the fifth inning with right knee soreness, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: Morel looked to hurt the knee on a stolen base attempt in the top of the third inning. He remained in the game initially but was removed for a pinch hitter following a rain delay. The Cubs could have more on Morel's condition after the game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:11 pm

    • Christopher Morel leaves game with apparent injury
Christopher Morel was removed from Saturday’s game against the Pirates with an apparent knee injury.

Advice: Morel appeared to injure himself while sliding into second base on a stolen base attempt in the third inning. He remained in the game for another inning defensively, but after a lengthy rain delay, he was replaced by a pinch hitter with the bases loaded in the fifth inning. Expect the Cubs to provide an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:09 pm

    • Three hits, two RBI in win
Garcia went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Angels.

Advice: The 24-year-old singled in the top of the third inning before coming around to score on a Vinnie Pasquantino home run. Garcia later added two doubles to give him his first three-hit performance of the season. The third baseman has now hit safely in four consecutive games and in six of eight to open the month of May, tallying four RBI and four runs scored over that latter stretch. However, he hasn't stolen a base since April 30. Rotowire.com Friday, 6:51 am

    • Maikel Garcia collects three hits, two RBI
Maikel Garcia finished 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI against the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia was due for some luck, and he got it tonight, as both of his doubles came on balls hit less than 80 mph. His highest EV in the contest, a 104-mph grounder, actually produced an out. The Royals have remained very patient with Garcia in the leadoff spot, and odds are that he’ll only get better from here. • Goes deep, swipes bag
Morel went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer, a walk and a steal in Monday's loss to the Padres.

Advice: Morel put the Cubs on the board with his two-run shot in the sixth inning after snagging a steal earlier in the contest. He has five hits over his last five games and four of them have left the yard. The 24-year-old is slashing .220/.315/.449 with 12 extra-base hits (eight home runs), four stolen bases and 23 RBI through 35 games this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:36 pm
