    • Four hits in win
Mountcastle went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Mountcastle recorded hits in each of his first four at-bats and came around to score twice on the night, marking only the second time this month in which he's scored two runs in a contest. The first baseman saw his batting average jump 16 points with his fourth multi-hit performance the month, though he hasn't driven in a run since May 8 against the Nationals. Mountcastle is also yet to draw a walk in May while striking out 17 times. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

    • Could return in early June
Robert (hip) could rejoin the White Sox following a full week of rehab games with Triple-A Charlotte, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Robert has played one rehab game with the Arizona Complex League White Sox, homering in that contest. He's slated to join Charlotte on Tuesday to continue ramping things up and it sounds like he could be activated by the White Sox as soon as June 4 against the Cubs if all goes well. Robert has been sidelined since early April with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain. Rotowire.com Today, 6:37 am

    • Mountcastle has four-hit game Thursday
Ryan Mountcastle went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored against the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Mountcastle scored on Jorge Mateo’s three-run home run in the fourth inning and on an Adley Rutschman home run in the sixth inning. The four hits marked a nice bounce back game for Mountcastle, who had been slumping. The Orioles have a deep group of hitters to choose from, but he should stay in the lineup as long as he continues to hit.

    • Pitches well but takes loss
Flaherty (1-4) allowed three runs on seven hits across 6.1 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Blue Jays. He walked one and struck out nine.

Advice: Home runs by Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Daulton Varsho accounted for all of the runs against Flaherty, but the righty otherwise was sharp once again. He's got a solid 3.84 ERA and has struck out 81 batters across 61 innings this year. The problem has been run support, as he's allowed three earned runs or fewer in three of his four losses so far. Despite the lack of wins, Flaherty looks like a promising fantasy asset, and he'll aim to keep rolling in his next scheduled start, which is tentatively set for next Thursday against Boston. • Flaherty strikes out nine against Jays Thursday
Jack Flaherty allowed three runs and struck out nine in 6 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Advice: The runs against Flaherty came on a solo home run by Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the third and a two-run home run by Daulton Varsho in the seventh. He has struck out at least nine batters in four of his 10 starts this season. Eight of those starts have been quality starts, but he’s only won one game due to a lack of support from the Tigers’ offense and bullpen. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Pirates at home next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:22 pm

    • Swipes two bags
Kim went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Advice: Kim seemingly has a green light to run right now -- he's logged five steals over his last five games, going 5-for-15 with five walks in that span. The shortstop is up to 13 thefts on 14 attempts this season, putting him roughly on pace to match his total of 38 steals in 2023. Kim has added a .216/.335/.369 slash line with six home runs, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored, four doubles and two triples over 52 games, but his recent hitting suggests he may be turning things around. Kim still figures to hit in the bottom half of the order most of the time. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:47 pm

    • Luis Robert (hip) heading to Triple-A on Tuesday
Luis Robert (hip) will start a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Finally some good news for Chicago as their star outfielder will wrap up play in Arizona this week before heading out to face some higher minor-league competition next week. There isn’t an exact timetable for Robert to return, but he figures to rejoin the White Sox’ struggling lineup at some point in early June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:05 pm

    • Beginning assignment Tuesday
Robert (hip) will begin playing in rehab games at Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Advice: Manager Pedro Grifol didn't specify exactly how long Robert will be in the minors, saying it will be a matter of getting him enough at-bats to get his timing down. The 26-year-old outfielder is currently playing in complex-league games in Arizona and seems to be trending toward a return in mid-June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:55 pm

    • Continues stellar run
Gil (6-1) earned the win Thursday over the Mariners, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out eight in 6.1 scoreless innings.

Advice: Gil continues to look like a star in the Yankees' rotation -- the 25-year-old right-hander now has five straight wins and quality starts, allowing just two runs over 30.2 innings in that span. He's lowered his ERA to 2.11 on the year with a 1.01 WHIP and 70:29 K:BB through 10 starts (55.1 innings). GIl will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week on the road against the Angels. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:07 pm
