Report: Snell, Giants agree to two-year, $62M deal
Blake Snell has agreed to a two-year, $62 million deal with the San Francisco Giants, according to New York Post’s Jon Heyman.
Advice: A deal has finally happened for the reigning NL Cy Young with just nine days left until Opening Day. According to Heyman, there is an opt out following the 2024 season, which is something the 31-year-old has been seeking since entering free agency. The Giants were decimated with injuries to its pitching depth during spring and will be without Alex Cobb, Robbie Ray and Tristan Beck to start the season, so adding Snell to their rotation hopefully lessens the blow. Snell is coming off his best season since 2018 and posted a 2.25 ERA, 1.19 WHIP with an insane 234/99 K/BB ratio across 180 innings.
