• Belts homer in loss
Busch went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk against the Giants in Monday's loss.

Advice: Busch gave Chicago its first lead with a two-run blast to center field in the sixth inning. It was his first long ball over his past 17 contests and just his second across his past 32 games. Busch began the campaign with six homers through 16 contests, so the fact that he's still yet to reach double digits in that category emphasizes the extent to which he's slowed down. Still, the first baseman has been hitting well lately, batting .370 over his past 27 at-bats. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

  • Drives in three runs Monday
Happ went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Monday's loss to San Francisco.

Advice: Happ's seventh-inning, three-run homer snapped a 3-3 tie and appeared to give the Cubs a comfortable advantage, but the Giants scored three runs in the ninth to pull out the win. Nonetheless, Happ continued to break out of his recent slump -- over his past three contests, he's gone 6-for-9 with two homers, six RBI and three walks. Prior to the three-game stretch, Happ endured a rough span of eight contests during which he went 2-for-28 with 10 strikeouts. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

  • Goes deep Monday
Bailey went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk against the Cubs in Monday's 7-6 victory.

Advice: Bailey brought San Francisco to within two runs with his eighth-inning solo blast. It was just his second extra-base hit over his past 16 contests, a span in which he's batted .264 (14-for-53). Bailey has a modest five long balls on the campaign, but he's been solid offensively with a .286/.360/.435 slash line, 23 RBI, 18 runs, two steals, an 11.5 percent walk rate and a 19.0 percent strikeout rate over 179 plate appearances. • Belts game-winning homer
Estrada went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and four total RBI in Monday's 7-6 win against the Cubs.

Advice: Estrada was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning to give San Francisco its first lead, though Chicago quickly re-took the lead in the bottom of the frame. The Giants remained behind until the ninth, when Estrada blasted a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winning hit. The long ball snapped a 20-game homerless stretch for the infielder. With nine home runs on the season, Estrada is five away from tying his career-high mark. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

  • Zach Neto homers to propel Angels past Brewers
Zach Neto hit a two-run homer Monday to lead the Angels to a 5-3 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Angels manager Ron Washington has utterly refused to hit Neto in the top half of the order, but the 23-year-old has been one of the team’s best players in batting .249/.297/.440 with 10 homers in 260 plate appearances. He’s not yet a finished product and it’s possible he’ll struggle to reach his true potential while playing for one of MLB’s most dysfunctional franchises, but the sky really is the limit here. • Rengifo comes off bench day after wrist injury
Luis Rengifo came off the bench and struck out as a pinch-hitter Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: He then remained in to play two innings at third base. Rengifo didn’t start because of a wrist injury suffered Sunday, but it seems like he’ll be fine. Rotoworld Today, 10:01 pm

  • Smacks 12th home run
De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Monday's 7-6 loss versus the Cardinals.

Advice: The 27-year-old's only hit in this game was a big one as he tied the score at 4-4 with a three-run blast off JoJo Romero in the eighth. De La Cruz is already up to 12 homers in 2024 after he totaled 19 long balls in 153 games last year. The power production helps offset De La Cruz's underwhelming .242/.295/.416 slash line. • Freddie Freeman walks five times in victory
Freddie Freeman singled and walked five times Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman became the first player to walk five times in a game since Matt Chapman on Aug. 12, 2021 and the first to both walk five times and collect a hit since, unbelievably, Rougned Odor on Aug. 2, 2018. Freeman had two runs scored and zero RBI to show for his success tonight. Rotoworld Today, 9:08 pm
  • Miguel Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Dodgers’ victory
Miguel Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Sure, Jazz Chisholm Jr. doesn’t seem to like him, but how badly did the Marlins botch things by trading Rojas for a prospect they didn’t even want a year and a half ago? Rojas is batting .292/.339/.460 in 121 plate appearances this season, and he’ll serve as the Dodgers’ primary shortstop while Mookie Betts is out. Meanwhile, the Marlins continue to roll with Tim Anderson, who might be the very worst player in the league. Rotoworld Today, 9:08 pm
