    • Isiah Kiner-Falefa undergoes MRI on knee
Isiah Kiner-Falefa said he underwent an MRI after feeling something in his left knee while stretching prior to Monday’s game.

Advice: This doesn’t sound good. Kiner-Falefa, who is putting together a terrific season as a super-utilityman, was a last-minute scratch before the game today. If he lands on the injured list, it’ll probably mean more regular playing time for Davis Schneider and a longer look for Addison Barger. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:18 pm

    • Undergoes MRI on knee
Kiner-Falefa is awaiting results of an MRI on his left knee, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa was a late scratch from Monday's lineup against the Astros after feeling something in his knee while stretching pregame. Ernie Clement was in the lineup for the Blue Jays on Monday at third base, where Kiner-Falefa has been seeing most of his playing time. It's possible an update on Kiner-Falefa's status will be available later Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:11 pm

    • Isiah Kiner-Falefa (knee) scratched from lineup
Isiah Kiner-Falefa was removed from Monday’s starting lineup with a left knee injury.

Advice: There are no details yet on the severity of the injury, but we’ll provide an update when we have it. Kevin Kiermaier is now in the game in center field as the Blue Jays juggled the positions for their starting lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:46 pm

    • Late scratch from lineup Monday
Kiner-Falefa was scratched from the lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Astros due to a left knee injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa played the full nine innings in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Yankees and wasn't known to be dealing with any sort of injury leading up to Monday's 3:07 p.m. ET opening pitch, so he may have hurt his knee at some point during pregame warmups. The Blue Jays will likely shed more light on Kiner-Falefa's situation later Monday. Kevin Kiermaier was a late addition to the Toronto lineup as a replacement for Kiner-Falefa, who saw his 13-game hit streak come to an end with an 0-for-4 showing Sunday. • Jose Altuve gets an off day on Monday
Jose Altuve is not in the Astros lineup on Monday.

Advice: It’s a routine day off for Altuve, who was tremendous in June. Mauricio Dubon will play second base for the Astros on Monday against the Blue Jays, which will allow Chas McCormick to come back in the lineup in left field Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:22 am

    • Rare day off Monday
Altuve is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Toronto, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Altuve was ejected following the seventh inning of Sunday's 10-5 win over the Mets in 11 innings for arguing with the umpire that he fouled a ball off his foot, and he'll now receive some additional rest in what will be just his third day out of the lineup all season. Mauricio Dubon will cover second base Monday while Altuve sits in the series opener. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:22 am

    • Fans 10 Sunday
Ryan allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and no walks while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings Sunday against the Mariners. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Ryan got through four innings unscathed while racking up eight of his 10 strikeouts over that span. He found himself in some immediate trouble in the fifth after allowing a leadoff triple and wound up surrendering two runs in the inning following a pair of base knocks and a fielding error. Sunday was Ryan's second double-digit strikeout performance this season and his second straight outing without walking a batter. He's given up two runs or less in four of his last five starts, though that's only amounted to one win. The 28-year-old will carry an excellent 3.21 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 110:15 K:BB (103.2 innings) into a meeting with the ascending Astros over the weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:32 am

    • Joe Ryan strikes out 10 in no-decision vs. M’s
Joe Ryan recorded 10 strikeouts and was charged with two runs (one earned) over 5 2/3 innings on Sunday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: Ryan delivered an outstanding performance on Sunday afternoon at T-Mobile Park, generating 16 swinging strikes - including 11 on his four-seam fastball alone - and finished with a near-elite 36 percent CSW. He gave up six hits and didn’t hand out a free pass, although he did hit a pair of batters as well. The 28-year-old upper-echelon fantasy contributor recorded his second double-digit strikeout performance of the season and will aim to keep the momentum going when he faces the Astros on Saturday in his penultimate outing prior to the All-Star break. • Ejected from Sunday's contest
Altuve was ejected from Sunday's game against the Mets, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Altuve grounded out to finish the seventh inning, but he was ejected for arguing that he fouled the ball off his foot. The 34-year-old went 2-for-4 with an RBI prior to being sent off, which is his fifth multi-hit effort in the past six games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:33 pm
