    • Ezequiel Tovar picks up three hits, homers in win
Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in a win Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar gave the Rockies a 4-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth off Walker Buehler. The shortstop has homered eight times in 2024 with five of them coming in May. Tovar still needs to show a little more consistency to reach an elite level, but the talent is there for him to reach that lofty status in the coming years. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:47 pm
    • Jalen Beeks gets sixth save against Dodgers
Jalen Beeks didn’t give up a run and picked up a save Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: It’s the sixth save of the season for Beeks, and the first save where he didn’t allow a run since May 13. The left-hander does have a 2.93 ERA, and he’s been one of the few pleasant surprises for the Rockies in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:45 pm

    • Dakota Hudson holds Dodgers to one run in win
Dakota Hudson held the Dodgers to one run while working seven innings to help the Rockies to a 4-1 victory Friday.

Advice: Hudson scattered four hits while picking up three strikeouts, and he walked one. The right-hander didn’t give up a run until the eighth inning, and it came on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Mookie Betts after Hudson had left the game. It’s just the second win of the season for the 29-year-old, but he’s pitched relatively well as of late, with just three runs allowed over his 13 innings. Next up for Hudson is the Reds on Wednesday. • Gavin Lux has two hits, scores run in loss
Gavin Lux went 2-for-3 with a run scored in a loss to the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: Lux scored the only run of the game for the Dodgers when Mookie Betts hit into a double play. The 26-year-old second baseman has had a few fleeting moments, but it’s been hard to justify him as a fantasy option with a slash of .213/.267/.293. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:37 pm

    • Tobias Myers allows five over 4 1/3 vs. White Sox
Tobias Myers didn’t factor into the decision Friday against the White Sox while allowing five runs over 5 1/3 innings.

Advice: Myers gave up three runs in the third, and another two came across and were charged to him two frames later. The 25-year-old allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out four in a well below-average start against one of the worst teams in baseball. It would be a mistake to trust him as a streamer against the Phillies next week, assuming he stays in the rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 pm

    • Resting Friday
Adell isn't in the Angels' lineup for Friday's game against Seattle, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Adell has gone 0-for-18 with 10 strikeouts across his last five games, so the Angels will give him a day off to regroup Friday. Kevin Pillar will take over in right field and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:01 pm

    • Luke Raley (lat) returns to lineup on Friday
Luke Raley (lat) returned to the Mariners’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger sat out Thursday’s contest due to lat soreness, but it appears to have been only a minor issue. Raley will start in left field and bat eighth against Angels’ right-hander Jose Soriano on Friday evening in Seattle. On the season, he’s slashing .260/.299/.394 with four homers, 12 RBI and four stolen bases in 134 plate appearances across 45 ballgames. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:55 pm

    • Slumping Jo Adell gets night off on Friday
Jo Adell is not in the Angels’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Mariners.

Advice: Angels’ manager Ron Washington told Adell this week not to worry about his recent struggles and that the team’s right field job is still is. It’s not a bad idea to give him a night off though to clear his head. Adell is mired in a 1-for-30 slump with a 14/0 K/BB ratio during that stretch. Kevin Pillar will cover right field and bat fifth for the Angels on Friday night against Bryan Woo and the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:53 pm

    • Returns to lineup Friday
Raley (lat) is starting in left field and batting eighth Friday against the Angels.

Advice: Lat soreness prevented Raley from starting during Thursday's loss to the Astros, but the issue appears to have subsided prior to Friday's contest. The 29-year-old outfielder is slashing .292/.346/.486 since the beginning of May, but he has been in a slump recently, tallying just one hit in 19 at-bats while striking out 10 times in his last seven games.
