    • Crushes first homer
Loperfido went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Thursday's win over the Athletics while also drawing a walk.

Advice: Loperfido jumped on a changeup from Joey Estes with two outs in the bottom of the third and sent it over the wall in right field for his first big-league home run, capping off a six-run inning for Houston. The rookie outfielder has gotten off to a fantastic start and has now hit safely in five straight games. Over that stretch he's batting .388 (7-for-18) with three RBI and three runs scored. • Clubs two-run homer
Olivares went 2-for-4 in Thursday's win over the Cubs with a double, a two-run homer and two runs scored.

Advice: Olivares put the Pirates on the board with a two-run blast off Justin Steele in the top of the first and later added a double in the sixth before coming around to score on a sacrifice fly from Yasmani Grandal. The home run was Olivares' fifth of the season and he's now hit safely in three straight games. It also marked only his second time this season in which he scored two runs in a contest. • Will Benson crushes leadoff homer in Reds’ win
Will Benson walloped a leadoff homer on Thursday in the Reds’ win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Benson has homered in two of the last three contests out of Cincinnati’s leadoff spot. He’s shown glimpses of immense five-category fantasy potential, but the plate skills simply haven’t improved to the point that he can really put it all together and make the leap to superstardom. He’s struck out in 39.5 percent of his 162 plate appearances through 42 contests, which has contributed greatly to a lackluster .196/.290/.406 triple-slash line. He’s up to six homers and eight steals already, which puts him on pace to set new career-high marks in both categories. However, the plate skills need to improve if he’s going to make a massive impact in shallow mixed leagues down the road. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 am

    • Slow start to season continues
Margot started in center field and went 0-for-3 in Thursday's loss to the Yankees. He's hitting just .169 with a .460 OPS this season.

Advice: The Twins traded for Margot in the offseason thinking he'd be insurance in center field if Bryon Buxton was injured and could find a right-handed platoon role. However, he's struggled to provide any offense and made just his second start this month in center field despite Buxton missing the last two weeks with a knee injury. Margot may continue to languish on the bench until he gets going at the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm

    • Loperfido hits first big league home run
Joey Loperfido went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run, and two RBI against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was the first of Loperfido’s major league career. He’s now up to a .324/.378/.441 line in 37 plate appearances. He should continue to see regular playing time against right-handed pitching while Chas McCormick is on the IL. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:18 pm
    • Olivares goes deep Thursday
Edward Olivares went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Olivares is a platoon player and made the most of his opportunity with a double and a home run against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele. The home run was his fifth of the season. Olivares was replaced by Rowdy Tellez once the left-handed pitcher was removed from the game.

    • Happ leaves the yard Thursday
Ian Happ went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Pirates on Thursday.

Advice: The homer was just Happ’s second of the year. It has undeniably been a down year for the 29-year-old outfielder. His power has cratered as his ISO is just .100 compared to his career .198 ISO. Most of Happ’s utility comes from playing everyday. He’s played 158 games in each of the last two seasons. Last season was his best year as he was able to compile 21 home runs, 86 runs scored, 84 RBI, and 14 stolen bases. He won’t be able to reach those numbers this season, but his $20 million average annual value should still keep him in the lineup everyday.

    • Chas McCormick playing Friday at Triple-A
Chas McCormick (hamstring) will play in another minor league rehab game on Friday for Double-A Corpus Christi.

Advice: There was some hope that McCormick would be ready to return to Houston’s outfield mix on Friday, but he’s going to play in one additional rehab contest before a decision is made. The 29-year-old has gone 2-for-11 in three rehab games so far. He’s been out since early May due to a right hamstring strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:21 pm

    • Sits down Thursday
Fairchild isn't in the Reds' lineup Thursday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Fairchild has gone 3-for-16 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored since the beginning of May. He will sit on the bench for the third game in a row Thursday while Conner Capel, Will Benson and Jake Fraley man the outfield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:41 pm
