    • Homers for team's only run
Nido went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Nido accounted for New York's only run of the contest with a 405-foot solo shot in the third inning. The long ball was his second of the campaign and first since April 26. Nido is batting .241 on the season but has gone 9-for-30 (.300 average) over his past 10 games. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago
    • Hits go-ahead homer
O'Hoppe went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: O'Hoppe is heating up at the plate -- he's hit safely in eight of his last 11 games with two homers and 11 RBI in that span. The catcher is up to four long balls, 22 RBI, 18 runs scored, six doubles and a triple while slashing .264/.321/.403 over 157 plate appearances. The 24-year-old got off to a slow start this season, but he's back to offering some pop from the middle of the order. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:26 pm
    • Latches on with San Francisco
Sands signed a minor-league contract with the Giants.

Advice: Sands was released by Detroit on March 26, but he's since found a new home in San Francisco. He made his debut for Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, going 0-for-5 with an RBI and three strikeouts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • d’Arnaud returns with three hits Monday
Travis d’Arnaud went 3-for-4 with an RBI against the Padres on Monday.

Advice: D’Arnaud took a foul ball off the mask in last Friday’s game and subsequently sat out of Saturday and Sunday’s games. He was cleared of a possible concussion and returned to the lineup with a three-hit game. D’Arnaud’s time as Atlanta’s primary catcher might be coming to a close soon as the injured Sean Murphy is nearing a rehab assignment.

    • Danny Jansen homers, drives in five in Jays’ win
Danny Jansen went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and five RBI as the Blue Jays bested the White Sox 9-3 on Monday.

Advice: Jansen, who hadn’t batted higher than fifth this season until today, had his big game from the second spot in the lineup. He’s batting .333/.397/.681 with five homers and just nine strikeouts through 78 plate appearances. It seems like more than just a hot streak, so he’s probably a top-10 fantasy catcher for the short term. Still, staying healthy has been quite an issue for the 29-year-old. • Collects five RBI
Jansen went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, five RBI and two runs scored in Monday's victory over the White Sox.

Advice: This was the third time in Jansen's career that he has driven in five or more runs in a game, marking the first occurrence since Oct. 1, 2022. The highlight of 29-year-old catcher's day was launching a 377-foot homer off Jordan Leasure in the seventh inning. The Blue Jays backstop has swung a hot bat to open the season, slashing .333/.397/.681 over his first 78 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:25 pm
    • Sitting again Monday
Garver is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Garver returned to action Friday after missing a couple games due to back spasms, but he now finds himself on the bench for a second straight contest. Mitch Haniger will serve as the designated hitter while Luke Raley receives a start in the outfield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:30 pm
    • Mitch Garver out of lineup for second straight day
Mitch Garver is sitting again Monday, with Mariners manager Scott Servais saying he plans to mix in his lefty bats more frequently.

Advice: Servais said Garver, Mitch Haniger and Ty France could all sit occasionally with Dominic Canzone and Luke Raley both playing against righties. Garver has been the worst performer of the trio so far this season, so he’s sat on consecutive days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:19 pm
    • Back in lineup for second game
D'Arnaud (head) will catch and bat fifth in the second game of Monday's doubleheader versus the Padres.

Advice: D'Arnaud hasn't played since being removed from last Friday's game due to dizziness, but he passed concussion tests and is back in the lineup following a couple days of rest. He has an .836 OPS with five home runs over 36 games with Atlanta this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:50 pm
