    • Max Kepler sitting against lefty on Tuesday
Max Kepler, Edouard Julien, Trevor Larnach and Alex Kirilloff are not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: The quartet of left-handed batters will take a seat with tough lefty Carlos Rodón toeing the rubber for New York. Kepler has been outstanding of late since returning from the injured list, but figures to continue sitting against southpaws. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:43 pm

    • Sitting out Tuesday
Kepler is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Yankees.

Advice: The left-handed hitting Kepler is swinging a red-hot bat but will take a seat in this one with the Yankees starting southpaw Carlos Rodon. Manuel Margot will patrol right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:10 pm

    • Could return Friday
Rengifo (illness) fielded grounders Monday and could return from the injured list when eligible Friday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Rengifo came down with a viral infection in early May and landed on the IL when the illness caused painful blisters on his feet. His ability to take grounders Monday is a good indication that he's doing better, and there's a chance he could spend the minimum amount of time on the injured list. Upon his return, Rengifo should slide back into a starting role at third base -- Niko Goodrum, Luis Guillorme and Cole Tucker have been filling in at the hot corner in his stead. • Blasts 10th homer
O'Neill went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk during Monday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: O'Neill's first-inning three-run blast provided all the scoring for the Red Sox on Monday. It was the first homer since April 27 for the slumping O'Neill, who hit .333 with nine homers over his first 19 games, but had gone just 7-for-44 (.159) with six walks and 22 strikeouts over the most recent 12 game homer-less stretch prior to Monday. • Tyler O’Neill blasts three-run homer in loss to Rays
Tyler O’Neill slugged a three-run homer on Monday in the Red Sox’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: O’Neill took Rays ace Zach Eflin deep with a gargantuan 426-foot moonshot over the Green Monster at Fenway Park for his 10th round-tripper of the season. It wound up being his lone hit in three at-bats in a low-scoring affair. The 28-year-old slugger has fit in exceptionally well with the Red Sox after signing a one-year pact in the offseason and appears to be on the way to eclipsing the 30-homer plateau for the first time since the 2021 campaign, if he can stay on the field. • Leaves yard Sunday
Tatis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Tatis got the Padres on the board early with a first inning solo blast off Walker Buehler. That's now at least a hit in eight of his last nine games, during which he's hitting .342 with a pair of home runs, five RBI and six runs scored. Tatis continues to steadily produce, slashing .257/.335/.449 with eight homers, 22 RBI, 29 runs, six steals and a 17:41 BB:K in 188 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:40 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. goes deep as Padres top Dodgers
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-3 and blasted a mammoth solo home run on Sunday as the Padres shut out the Dodgers 4-0 in San Diego.

Advice: The 25-year-old superstar opened the scoring in the contest with a mammoth 442-foot (109.2 mph EV) solo shot off of Walker Buehler in the home half of the first inning. He was also plunked by Ryan Yarbrough later in the ballgame. While he’s not completely lighting the world on fire, Tatis has still been very productive from a fantasy perspective this season — slashing .257/.335/.449 with eight homers, 22 RBI and six stolen bases (in seven attempts). • Sitting versus southpaw
Abreu is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Nationals, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Abreu will begin Sunday's game in the dugout as Washington sends out left-hander MacKenzie Gore. Ceddanne Rafaela will start in center field, while Jarren Duran and Tyler O'Neill man left and right field, respectively. Abreu hit a solo home run in the bottom of the third inning in Saturday's 4-2 win. He's slashing .284/.378/.480 with three home runs and 14 RBI over 119 plate appearances this season. • Max Kepler takes a seat against left-hander Friday
Max Kepler is not in the Twins’ starting lineup for Friday night’s contest against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kepler will get a rare night off with left-hander Yusei Kikuchi toeing the slab for the Blue Jays. Kepler has been on fire at the plate since returning from the injured list, slashing .434/.492/.755 with three homers, 14 RBI and a stolen base in 16 games. Expect him to come off the bench on Friday night, then he gets to mash against a pair of right-handers over the remainder of the weekend. Rotoworld Friday, 2:44 pm
