Wenceel Pérez (illness) remains out Monday against the Guardians.

    • Moves to 60-day IL
The Cardinals transferred Edman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Advice: Edman has been on the IL all season while working his way back from October surgery on his right wrist. The 28-year-old has resumed taking swings from both sides of the plate without incident, but since he has yet to be cleared for full baseball activities, the expectation was that he would still need at least a few more weeks to finish up his rehab program. With that in mind, Edman's move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as surprise, and his potential timeline for a return won't be dramatically affected as a result. He won't be eligible to make his 2024 Cardinals debut until May 24. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:47 pm

    • Out again Monday
Perez (illness) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest in Cleveland.

Advice: Perez was a late scratch ahead of Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Yankees due to an illness, and he'll receive at least one more day of rest. Parker Meadows will get another start in center field in Perez's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:35 pm

    • Provides lone run in loss
Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Ozuna was the only Atlanta player with multiple hits as well as the only one with an extra-base hit in Sunday's loss. He took James Paxton deep to right center in the seventh for his first long ball since April 21. He's now back tied atop the leaderboard with 10 home runs on the year and leads all of baseball with 33 RBI. Ozuna is slashing .306/.382/.603 with 16 extra-base hits, 21 runs and a 15:27 BB:K in 136 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 am

    • Could return Tuesday
Friedl (wrist) and team decision-makers were scheduled for a call Sunday evening to discuss the outfielder's potential return, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Friedl, who made a fourth consecutive appearance Sunday on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville, could be activated as soon as Tuesday, when the Reds open a three-game series at home against the Diamondbacks. "There is a chance," manager David Bell said. "I think we are all going to be involved in that decision." Friedl fractured his right wrist while diving for a ball March 16 and opened the season on the injured list. He's 4-for-16 with three doubles while on rehab with the Bats. • Goes yard again
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Tucker swatted his fourth home run in his last eight games, tagging Bryce Miller for a two-run homer in the sixth frame. The left-handed-hitter is tied with Tyler O'Neill for the fifth-most home runs in baseball. During his last eight outings, Tucker has amassed six RBI and eight runs scored while going 7-for-28 (.250) at the plate. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:21 pm

    • Ozuna has two hits, HR in loss to Dodgers
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Ozuna’s home run was a 373-foot shot at 104.3 mph off the bat. It was the Braves’ only extra-base hit of the night. Ozuna now has 10 home runs and 33 RBI on the season while slashing .306/.382/.603 and has been the team’s best hitter this season. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:24 pm

    • Scratched with illness
Perez was scratched from the lineup Sunday against the Yankees due to an illness, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Perez was penciled in for his seventh consecutive start but will instead hit the bench due to an illness. He should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Cleveland. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:02 am
