      Peralta dropped his appeal of a five-game suspension and will be begin serving the ban Monday.

      Advice: Peralta was handed the suspension for intentionally throwing at the Rays' Jose Siri in an 8-2 win over Tampa Bay last Tuesday. The right-hander was ejected from that contest, but after appealing the five-game ban, Peralta took the hill Sunday on normal rest and was dealt the loss in the Brewers' series finale with the Cubs. With Peralta ending his appeal, he won't be able to make his next turn through the rotation that would have fallen Friday versus the Cardinals, though he could make his next start as soon as Saturday.       MLB changed the official scoring on a play during Friday's game, which left Houck charged with three earned runs over six-plus innings, not four, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

      Advice: Despite the command issues all afternoon, Peralta kept the Cubs off the board until coughing up three runs in the fifth inning. He took his first loss of the year and has now failed to complete six frames in three straight outings. During that stretch, he's posted a 6.00 ERA with a 17:11 K:BB. Peralta forced 13 whiffs Sunday but threw just 51 of 97 pitches for strikes. His season ERA climbed to 3.49 through 38.2 frames.       Luis Severino was charged with four runs in five innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Rays.

      Advice: Severino’s velocity was down a little today and he walked a career-high six batters, which is a little scary. He had never even walked five in a start previously. He’s not one of the Mets pitchers that typically has issues with the stolen base — he had allowed just one in his first six starts this season — but the Rays swiped three bases while he was in the game and seven in eight tries overall today. It’s the most runs he’s allowed since he was roughed up in his Mets debut on March 30. He’ll get the Braves next, so sitting him in mixed leagues seems like a good idea.       Freddy Peralta struggled with his command in Sunday’s loss to the Cubs, issuing six walks over five innings of three-run baseball.

      Advice: Peralta also surrendered three hits on the afternoon while punching out five batters. Even with all of the traffic on the basepaths, the 27-year-old right-hander kept the Cubs off the board through the first four innings. That wasn’t the case in the fifth though, where Nico Hoerner smacked a two-run double and then scored on a wild pitch. Peralta generated 13 swinging strikes on 97 pitches in the contest, posting a CSW of 25 percent. Now 3-1 on the season, he’ll look to bounce back as he carries a 3.49 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and a 50/15 K/BB ratio (38 2/3 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Cardinals.       Advice: Peralta was handed the ban Wednesday after he was deemed to have intentionally thrown at Rays outfielder Jose Siri in Tuesday's 8-2 win. The right-hander was ejected from the game immediately after hitting Siri, who then exchanged punches with Brewers reliever Abner Uribe following his next plate appearance in the eighth inning, inciting a benches-clearing brawl. Peralta seemingly appealed the suspension to give the Brewers more time to prepare for his absence, as it doesn't sound as though he's expecting a reduction in his five-game ban following the appeal process. With that in mind, fantasy managers should prepare for Peralta to have his next turn through the rotation skipped, with Milwaukee preparing to turn to a spot starter Friday in St. Louis. Robert Gasser is scheduled to pitch Sunday for Triple-A Nashville and could be called up to fill the void for Peralta on Friday, though manager Pat Murphy also floated the possibility of that game being treated as a bullpen day, per Hogg. Fortunately for Fedde, the White Sox came back to tie the game up after he left the mound before winning in the 10th. Fedde threw only 48 of 91 pitches for strikes in his shortest outing of the season, and he has walked at least three batters in three of his last five starts.
