• Steven Matz to make rehab start Tuesday at Double-A
Steven Matz (back) will make another minor league rehab start on Tuesday for Double-A Springfield.

Advice: Matz struck out two over a pair of scoreless frames on Thursday in his rehab assignment debut for Triple-A Memphis and will continue building up his pitch count and stamina this upcoming week in the minors. The 33-year-old lefty has been out since mid-May recovering from a back injury. Rotoworld Today, 11:15 am

  • Placed on injured list
Atlanta placed Herget on the 15-day injured list Saturday with right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to Thursday.

Advice: Herget struck out two batters and gave up a solo home run during his most recent outing Wednesday, and he appears to have come away from the game with a shoulder injury. He'll remain sidelined until at least June 21, and Daysbel Hernandez will come up from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill Herget's spot in the bullpen. Rotowire.com Today, 11:12 am

  • Braves recall Daysbel Hernández on Saturday
Braves recalled RHP Daysbel Hernández from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Hernández rejoins Atlanta’s bullpen mix with Jimmy Herget (shoulder) landing on the injured list ahead of Saturday’s showdown against the Nationals. The 27-year-old righty has made a pair of relief appearances this season in the big leagues. He figures to operate in middle relief and can be safely ignored for fantasy purposes. • Braves place Jimmy Herget (shoulder) on IL
Braves placed RHP Jimmy Herget on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 6, with right shoulder inflammation.

Advice: Herget heads to the injured list after making five relief appearances for Atlanta since being called up back on May 30. No word yet on how long the 30-year-old side-winder will be sidelined. Rotoworld Today, 11:08 am

  • Mike Clevinger throws bullpen session on Saturday
Mike Clevinger (elbow) threw a bullpen session on Saturday.

Advice: Clevinger is expected to make at least one minor league rehab start before returning to Chicago’s starting rotation, but that plan could always wind up changing. He landed on the injured list last week with right elbow inflammation. Rotoworld Today, 10:59 am

  • Moves to 60-day IL
The Brewers transferred Hall (knee) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: Hall's move to the 60-day IL makes him ineligible for activation until June 20, but he wasn't likely to return until at least late June anyway. The 25-year-old lefty was recommended a platelet-rich plasma injection that would've kept him sidelined until September, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but Hall will instead attempt to pitch through his injury and re-evaluate the damage during the offseason. His spot on the 40-man roster will be given to Elieser Hernandez, who signed a one-year deal with Milwaukee on Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 10:31 am

  • Sent down to Triple-A
The Rangers optioned Garabito to Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

Advice: After posting a 2.05 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 30:8 K:BB over 26.1 innings in Triple-A, Garabito was called up by the Rangers on May 26. Since the promotion, the 28-year-old right-hander has appeared in three games for the big club, allowing one run on four hits and five walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings. The move corresponds with the Rangers activating right-hander Jon Gray from the injured list. Rotowire.com Today, 10:16 am
  • Brewers ink Elieser Hernández to one-year deal
Brewers signed RHP Elieser Hernández to a one-year contract.

Advice: Hernández bolsters Milwaukee’s relief depth in the majors after electing free agency earlier this week following his removal from the Dodgers’ 40-man roster. The 29-year-old righty made five appearances (one start) this season in the big leagues for Los Angeles. Rotoworld Today, 10:13 am
  • Signs with Brewers
Hernandez signed a one-year contract with the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: Hernandez elected to become a free agent after being pushed off the Dodgers' 40-man roster, and he'll now look to carve out a role for himself in Milwaukee. The 29-year-old righty has given up nine runs in 9.2 innings this season. He worked primarily as a reliever during his brief stint with the Dodgers, but he will likely serve as a starter for a Brewers team that has dealt with a plethora of injuries to its rotation. In order to make room for Hernandez, James Meeker was optioned to Triple-A Nashville and DL Hall (knee) was transferred to the 60-day IL. Rotowire.com Today, 10:11 am
