    Advice: He led off the game by ripping a Chris Sale sinker down the right-field line, but not much else went right for the Guardians on the night. Kwan managed only 11 homers total in his first two big-league seasons, but the 26-year-old already has three in 25 games to begin 2024.     Advice: Considering that Mesa posted a 22.9 percent strikeout rate at Double-A in 2023, the sudden and dramatic improvement in his plate discipline is intriguing. The 22-year-old took a big step forward last year with 18 homers and 16 steals in 123 games for Pensacola, and his development could be accelerating. If he continues to have little trouble with Triple-A pitchers, a big-league debut could be on the horizon, especially considering how little production the Marlins are getting from the likes of Nick Gordon and Avisail Garcia. The Marlins have the worst record in the NL at 6-21, and it may not be long before struggling veterans with limited upside like Gordon get shoved aside in favor of prospects like Victor Mesa.     Advice: Steer snapped an 0-for-18 skid in the third inning then stole his sixth base in 26 games and is on pace to surpass the 15 steals he had in 2023. That's the good fantasy news.   • Swipes first bag of year
    Rosario went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-1 win over the Marlins.

    Advice: Getting the start in right field and batting sixth, Rosario beat out a potential double play in the second inning and promptly stole second base, but he was otherwise quiet on the night. The steal was the first of the campaign for the veteran outfielder, and given that he went 3-for-7 on SB attempts for Atlanta in 2023, he's unlikely to make much of an impact in that category. Rosario isn't doing much with his bat, either -- despite consistent playing time, he's slashing a woeful .100/.141/.183 through 64 plate appearances with one homer, three RBI and three runs.
