    • Making another rehab start
Garrett (shoulder) will make a rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Jacksonville before potentially returning from the 15-day injured list, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.comreports.

Advice: Garrett has spent all season on the shelf while recovering from a left shoulder impingement, and while he hasn't experienced any setbacks in his recovery from that injury, he did experience a case of "dead arm" following an April 15 bullpen session. The issue prompted the Marlins to temporarily pause Garrett's rehab assignment before he returned to action last Friday for Triple-A Jacksonville and allowed two earned runs on four hits and no walks while striking out four over three innings. Garrett tossed 59 pitches in that outing, so the Marlins will likely want him to get stretched out to around 75 pitches before inserting him into the big-league rotation. • Fans 10 in no-decision
Miller allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday.

Advice: Miller racked up 17 whiffs en route to a season-high 10 punchouts while mostly silencing a potent Atlanta offense. However, opposing starter Max Fried was even better with six hitless frames, and Miller actually departed in line for the loss after giving up a run in the seventh. He was taken off the hook, though, when Mitch Garver belted a walk-off homer in the ninth inning. The outing was Miller's fourth quality start over his past five appearances, and he's given up just four earned runs across 30.1 frames during that span. His 2.04 overall ERA ranks 12th among qualified MLB starters. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:41 pm

    • Corbin Carroll settles for lone single in loss
Corbin Carroll contributed a single in four at-bats as the Diamondbacks’ No. 8 hitter on Monday.

Advice: Carroll had two hard-hit balls tonight, including a 408-foot flyout that Statcast said would have been a homer in 17 of 30 ballparks. Power has been the issue for the 23-year-old this season, so this was a pretty good night, even if the box score looks perfectly generic. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:41 pm

    • Drives in three runs
Bohm went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: Bohm knocked a two-run single in the first inning and added an RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth. He's been an RBI machine this season, racking up 10 over his last six games, giving him 29 on the year. He trails only Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna on the RBI leaderboard. Bohm is slashing .364/.439/.607 with 17 extra-base knocks and a 15:19 BB:K through 30 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm

    • Bryce Miller whiffs 10 over seven scoreless
Bryce Miller allowed just a run on two hits in seven innings of work with 10 strikeouts, but still took a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday.

Advice: Miller was outstanding, as he was perfect through the first five frames before issuing a walk in the sixth. His no-hitter was broken up in the seventh by Ronald Acuna Jr;, and after Acuna Jr. stole second and third base, Ozzie Albies doubled in the go-ahead — and ultimately — winning run. It’s a disappointing ending, but it showed off the swing-and-miss stuff and vastly improved command that he’s shown in 2024. The Seattle rotation is phenomenal. The offense is another thing. Miller will take a 2.04 ERA into his start Sunday against the Astros. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 pm

    • Belts fourth homer
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: He spoiled Jake Irvin's attempt at a shutout by launching a fastball over the fence in center field in the sixth inning. Chisholm has gone yard in back-to-back games on the heels of a 17-game homer drought, and the 26-year-old could be catching fire. On the season, he's slashing .245/.339/.406 with four homers, five steals, 13 runs and 17 RBI in 29 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:40 pm
    • MRI brings positive news
Manager Kevin Cash stated Monday that the news on Lowe's MRI was "pretty good" and the team is monitoring him on a day-to-day basis, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe was expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list over the weekend after recovering from an oblique injury that forced him to miss the first month of the 2024 campaign, but the club pushed the pause button after he felt some tightness in his right hamstring. This update from Cash is vague, so while it seems Lowe has managed to avoid a significant hamstring injury, the team has yet to provide a concrete timetable for the outfielder's return from the injured list. • Jazz Chisolm Jr. provides only runs in loss to Nats
Jazz Chisolm Jr. went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in a loss to the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Déjà vu. Jazz has homered in back-to-back games. The 26-year-old got Miami on the board in the sixth inning when he took Jake Irvin’s fastball 414 feet to deep center field. Chisolm got off to a slow start this season, where he saw his batting average as low as .130 seven games into the season. However, he’s been able to create contact and get on base bringing his batting line to .248/.342/.410 with four homers and 17 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:06 pm
    • Churns out another multi-hit game
Bohm went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored Sunday in the Phillies' 8-6 win over the Padres.

Advice: Recently elevated into the cleanup spot, Bohm has stayed on a heater at the plate to give the Phillies little reason to think about moving him down in the order. He's now turned in multi-hit efforts in eight of his last 10 games, batting .548 during that stretch to lift his season-long average up to .365, trailing only Mookie Betts (.387) and Will Smith (.367) for tops among qualified hitters.
