    • Goes five innings in rehab start
Buehler (elbow) tossed five innings in a minor-league rehab appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out five batters.

Advice: Buehler tossed 75 pitches in the outing, 11 fewer than he threw in his previous appearance. However, he completed five frames for the first time since beginning his rehab stint March 31. The right-hander's fastball topped out at 94.6 mph, so he's not quite back to the velocity he displayed prior to his Tommy John surgery in August of 2022. Nonetheless, Tuesday's start -- his sixth in the minors this season -- may have been Buehler's final step before rejoining the big-league rotation, as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts suggested prior to the outing that the hurler could make his next appearance with the big club, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. • McMahon has three hits in loss to Miami
Ryan McMahon went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a loss to the Marlins on Tuesday.

Advice: McMahon roped a 100.6 mph double and a 97.5 mph single on the day and continues to swing the bat well this season. He’s slashing .321/.397/.495 on the year and now has 18 RBI. The Rockies lineup may not be great, but McMahon is doing more than enough to warrant being in fantasy lineups every week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:38 pm

    • Walker Buehler sharp in likely final rehab outing
Walker Buehler (elbow) allowed one run over five innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Buehler finished with five strikeouts, didn’t hand out a free pass, and threw 75 pitches (54 strikes). The hope for the Dodgers, and fantasy managers, is that the hard-throwing 29-year-old righty will be ready to make his season debut at some point next week, depending on how he comes out of this likely final rehab outing. • Gerrit Cole (elbow) continues flat-ground throwing
Gerrit Cole (elbow) continued flat-ground throwing on Tuesday.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters everything is going well with Cole’s throwing program, but the 33-year-old righty remains without a set date to resume throwing off a mound. The assumption remains that he’ll be ready to make his season debut at some point in late May. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:57 pm

    • Out to 90 feet Tuesday
Luzardo (elbow) will extend his catch out to 90 feet Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Working his way back from a mild left flexor strain, Luzardo played catch Monday and will do so for a second straight day Tuesday. He will continue with a throwing progression as tolerated. Luzardo is eligible to return May 10, but there's no firm timetable for his potential activation yet. • Goes deep in defeat
Profar went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Reds.

Advice: It looked like San Diego's offense could be in for a big day when Profar led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo shot off Nick Lodolo, but that turned out to be the only hit for the team until the ninth frame. The long ball extended Profar's hitting streak to six games, and he's batted .364 (8-for-22) with a pair of homers, four RBI and six runs during that stretch. Profar has served as San Diego's leadoff man each of the past two contests, and he could stick there for a while if he continues to hit well. Through 122 plate appearances, Profar is slashing .301/.402/.485 with four homers, 19 RBI, 16 runs and a stolen base. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:20 pm

    • Shuts down Cubs
Severino didn't factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks over eight innings against the Cubs. He struck out five.

Advice: Severino was locked into a pitchers duel with Jameson Taillon, as the pair of starters each went deeper than seven innings while allowing just one run. Individually, Severino took a no-hitter into the eighth. However, Severino's efforts were for naught as Edwin Diaz surrendered a pair of runs in the ninth inning, leading to the Cubs' win. After posting a career-worst 6.65 ERA across 89.1 innings in 2023, Severino boasts a 2.31 ERA through 35.0 innings in his first season with the Metropolitans. He's lined up to face the Rays on Saturday. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:39 pm

    • Yields four runs
Sanchez allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over five-plus innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out one during the loss to the Angels.

Advice: Sanchez gave up a run in each of the first two innings. He then kept the Angels quiet until he was charged with two more runs without recording an out in the sixth. It was the first time this season Sanchez has allowed more than three earned runs in an outing. He tied his lowest strikeout total and forced just a single swinging strike in the subpar performance. The 27-year-old lefty now owns a 3.68 ERA with a 29:13 K:BB through 29.1 innings. Sanchez is currently in line for a home start next week against the Giants. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:24 pm

    • Luis Severino takes no-hit bid into eighth vs Cubs
Luis Severino allowed one run over eight innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

Advice: Severino kept a no-hit bid alive into the eighth inning before finally surrendering a line-drive single to Dansby Swanson following a leadoff walk to Michael Busch. An RBI ground out from Nick Madrigal later in the frame represented the lone tally against him over eight masterful frames. He tallied five strikeouts and only issued two walks. He wasn’t overpowering in this one, generating 13 swinging strikes and finishing with a pedestrian 28 percent CSW, but allowed just six batted balls with an exit velocity over 95 mph. The 30-year-old righty has been excellent in his Mets debut, allowing three earned runs or fewer in six consecutive outings to open the year. He’ll bring a pristine 2.31 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 31/11 K/BB ratio across 35 innings (six starts) into a road tilt on Saturday against the Rays. Rotoworld Monday, 6:26 pm
