    • Bo Bichette drives in run in loss
Bo Bichette went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Bichette continues to make an elite amount of contact but also swing at pitches that he can’t really do much damage on. As a result, he has a .213 average and just a .306 slugging percentage on the season. The RBI was his 11th of the year, and while the 26-year-old could likely use a more selective approach at the plate, he’s too talented to take out of your lineup right now. Rotoworld Today, 8:07 pm

    • José Berríos gets tough luck loss against Royals
José Berríos allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Berríos was good, but Cole Ragans was just better. Berríos also struck out just three on the evening while walking one and posting just a 13 percent whiff rate. He did register a 27 percent CSW thanks to his ability to pound the zone with his sinker, but his curve and changeup couldn’t consistently find the zone and he got few chases out of the zone on that breaking ball which limited his overall effectiveness. Berríos has outpitched his peripheries so far this year and there is some regression coming on his 1.44 ERA but you can still start him every game while he’s pitching like this, including next week against the Phillies. • Logan Webb knocked out early by Red Sox
Logan Webb allowed four runs on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Webb allowed just two extra-base hits, but the Red Sox tagged him early and often on Tuesday as Webb allowed an average exit velocity on balls in play of 99.5 mph. However, it just seems like a bad outing. He struggled to find the command of his changeup, which led to just a 13 percent whiff rate and the Red Sox hitters were able to tee off when he did land his pitches in the strike zone. We wouldn’t read too much into it and would still start Webb even in a tough matchup against the Phillies this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 7:53 pm
    • Placed on injured list
The Angels placed Trout on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Advice: Trout was diagnosed with a torn meniscus Tuesday and will require surgery, so a move to the IL was expected. It's worth noting the 32-year-old superstar was placed on the 10-day IL rather than the 60-day list, which may indicate the Angels expect Trout to bounce back from his procedure relatively quickly. • Mike Trout hits IL with left knee meniscus tear
Angels placed OF Mike Trout on the 10-day injured list with a left knee meniscus tear.

Advice: Trout is slated to undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. There isn’t a definitive timetable for his return yet, but the expectation is that he’ll return at some point later this season. It’s obviously a colossal loss for the Angels, and fantasy managers. The 32-year-old generational superstar was in the midst of an impressive renaissance campaign, posting a strong .867 OPS with a major league-leading 10 homers and six steals through 29 games. There should be some clarity on his potential return timeline at some point following the knee procedure. Rotoworld Today, 6:30 pm

    • Alek Manoah strikes out 12 in Triple-A start
Alek Manoah (shoulder) recorded 12 strikeouts and allowed one run over six innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo.

Advice: With a spot in Toronto’s starting rotation seemingly up for grabs with Yariel Rodríguez (back) landing on the injured list on Tuesday evening, Manoah turned in his best outing in recent memory, allowing just four baserunners over six impressive frames. His fastball velocity was back up into the mid-90’s and he generated 19 swinging strikes, including 13 on his slider alone, finishing with an elite 45 percent CSW. He figures to take the ball on Sunday against the Nationals, barring something unexpected. Rotoworld Today, 4:49 pm

    • Mike Trout to undergo left knee surgery
Mike Trout will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan and Alden González.

Advice: It’s a devastating development for the Angels, and fantasy managers, as Trout was in the midst of a remarkable renaissance campaign this season with a robust .867 OPS to accompany a major league-leading 10 home runs and six steals through 29 games. Passan and González add that the procedure isn’t expected to be season-ending. However, it appears likely that Trout is going to require an extended absence. Rotoworld Today, 3:21 pm

    • Dealing with torn meniscus
Trout was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee Tuesday and will require surgery, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Trout had started all 29 games for the Angels through the first month of the season, but he'll now be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to the meniscus tear. The 32-year-old doesn't have an official timeline for his return but isn't expected to be in danger of missing the rest of the season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:19 pm

    • Needs knee surgery
Trout will undergo surgery on his knee in the near future, but the extent of the injury is not clear, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: It's unclear when the injury surfaced for Trout, as he had started all 29 games for the Angels this season. It's also unknown how long the 32-year-old will be sidelined, though the surgery isn't expected to be of the season-ending variety. Trout should be considered out indefinitely until more information is available. Rotowire.com Today, 3:10 pm
