      Munoz earned a save against the Royals on Monday, striking out three batters in 1.1 perfect innings.

      Advice: Munoz was summoned from the bullpen in the top of the eighth inning with two outs, Seattle up by two runs and the tying run at the plate. He struck out Nelson Velazquez to end the threat, then got some stress reduction when the Mariners' offense put up two runs in the bottom of the frame. From there, Munoz closed things out without incident, fanning two of the three batters he squared off against in the ninth frame. The save was his sixth of the season and first since April 30, though no other Seattle pitcher recorded a save in the meantime. Munoz has looked great since his lone blown save of the campaign April 21, tossing 9.1 scoreless frames during which he's posted a 10:1 K:BB across eight appearances.       Advice: The Giants took an early lead with Luis Matos' three-run home run in the second inning, and Heliot Ramos added an RBI single in the sixth, which ended Yamamoto's start. This ended Yamamoto's run of four straight quality starts. The right-hander has four scoreless outings on his ledger, but he's also given up three or more runs four times in nine starts.       Andrés Muñoz struck out three while going 1 1/3 scoreless innings Monday to get a save against the Royals.

      Advice: The Mariners won this game by four runs, but because the right-hander came in with the score 4-2, he still gets credit for the save. That’s the sixth of the season for the 25-year-old, and he’s lowered his ERA to an aesthetically pleasing 1.62 in the process. Adam, who served as the Rays' main end-game option while Fairbanks was on the shelf prior to his return on May 11, will likely remain the preferred option until Fairbanks is ready to return from his most recent setback.       Bryson Stott went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Monday, powering the Phillies to a 5-4 win over the Mets in a 10-inning marathon.

      Advice: Stott delivered late for Philadelphia, taking Mets stopper Edwin Díaz deep to lead off the ninth inning before tacking on a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the ensuing frame to put the Phillies ahead for good in a back-and-forth slugfest at Citi Field. The 26-year-old infielder has been on an absolute heater of late, batting .433 (13-for-30) with one homer and five steals in nine contests since the start of May, which obviously doesn’t include a two-homer explosion back on April 28.       Shota Imanaga struck out eight over five shutout innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Braves.

      Advice: Imanaga continues to be an unexpected revelation in his Cubs debut, allowing two earned runs or fewer for the eighth consecutive start in this one. The 30-year-old southpaw silenced Atlanta’s formidable lineup, scattering seven hits and three walks over five scoreless frames. He induced a staggering 18 swinging strikes and finished with a 27 percent CSW, needing 98 pitches (58 strikes) to get through five innings. However, the Atlanta offense made the Cubs lefty work hard for his scoreless night as they had 10 baserunners and drew three walks, both setting season-highs allowed for Imanaga.       Advice: Adam was summoned by Rays manager Kevin Cash to work the final frame with Pete Fairbanks unavailable due to a cut on his right index finger. The 32-year-old righty issued a leadoff walk to Tyler O’Neill, which brought the potential tying run to the plate, but he proceeded to strike out Dominic Smith, Vaughn Grissom and Romy Gonzalez to extinguish any hope of a Boston comeback.       Snell (adductor) said that he expects to make another rehab start before returning from the 15-day injured list, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Snell had a dominant first rehab start with Single-A San Jose on Sunday, throwing an immaculate inning on his way to seven strikeouts across four perfect frames. The lefty threw just 46 pitches in the outing but did get in an additional 15 tosses in the bullpen after the appearance. Snell noted that the decision on where he will pitch next will ultimately be made by manager Bob Melvin and the team's medical staff, but the southpaw believes he could use another tune-up against stiffer competition.
