    • Stuck with loss
Kikuchi (2-4) took the loss Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks across six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Tuesday's performance marked Kikuchi's third quality start in his last four appearances. However, he owns a 0-2 record during that stretch as the Blue Jays have struggled offensively. The 33-year-old walked multiple batters for the first time since April 10 and was charged with two earned runs or fewer for the eighth time in 10 outings. On the year, Kikuchi owns a 2.64 ERA -- which would be a career-best tally -- with 61 strikeouts across 58 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Tigers on Sunday. • Orioles-Cardinals suspended, to resume Wednesday
Tuesday’s game between the Orioles and Cardinals was suspended due to rain with the score tied at 1-1 in the sixth inning.

Advice: It’ll be picked back up at 11:15 a.m. CDT on Wednesday. Lance Lynn allowed only an unearned run over six innings before the game was delayed. He still could finish with the win if the Cardinals score in the bottom of the sixth and hold the lead from there. Otherwise, he’ll end up with his seventh no-decision in 10 starts this year. • Schmidt allows two earned in loss to Mariners
Clarke Schmidt allowed two earned runs and four hits over five innings in the Yankees’ loss to the Mariners.

Advice: The two earned runs Schmidt allowed came on a two-run homer by Dylan Moore on a pitch that was off the outside black of the plate. It was a well-thrown pitch that resulted in an unfortunate outcome for Schmidt, who was otherwise solid on the evening. He walked just two batters while striking out six and has now struck out six or more batters in seven of his 10 starts. Schmidt is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Padres. • Woo dominates over six scoreless innings vs. Yanks
Bryan Woo pitched six scoreless innings while striking out seven to earn the win on Tuesday against the Yankees.

Advice: Woo allowed just two hits in this one and didn’t walk a batter. The second-year pro has now allowed just one earned run over three starts and 15 2/3 innings this season since being activated from the 15-day injured list on May 10th. Woo is now 2-0 with a 0.57 ERA and 0.51 WHIP. He’ll look to keep his hot start going on Sunday against the Nationals. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:13 pm

    • Kikuchi lacks run support in loss to White Sox
Yusei Kikuchi allowed two earned runs over six innings in the Blue Jays’ loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Kikuchi was fine for much of the evening but gave up a two-RBI single to Corey Julks in the fifth inning, which looked like a devastating blow to a Blue Jays offense that managed just two hits on the night. Kikuchi’s record sits at 2-3 on the year despite a solid 2.64 ERA. The Jays entered the day as one of the worst run-scoring offenses in the league, making wins hard to come by for Kikuchi, who has yet to earn a win in May despite allowing just six earned runs over 24 1/3 innings on the month. He’ll have one more chance to get a win in May when he makes the start against the Tigers on Sunday. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:33 pm

    • Sean Murphy (oblique) homers in rehab contest
Sean Murphy (oblique) homered on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Murphy caught seven innings behind the plate and also threw out a runner attempting to steal second base in this one. The 29-year-old backstop looked ready to return to the majors in this one, but he’ll presumably get at least a couple more contests under his belt before heading back to Atlanta. • Elias Díaz returns to lineup Tuesday vs. A’s
Elias Díaz (hand) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Athletics.

Advice: Díaz is back handling the catching duties for Colorado in Oakland following a four-game absence due to left hand soreness. The 33-year-old backstop was battling the ongoing issue for a couple weeks, so the hope here is that the extended layoff helps put the issue behind him. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:57 pm
    • Returns to lineup
Diaz (hand) is in the Rockies' lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Advice: Diaz missed four consecutive games for the Rockies due to a hand injury, and he had an additional day to recover with the team day off Monday. Jacob Stallings was starting in his place, but the former will return to the bench Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:33 pm
    • Adolis Garcia (forearm) out again Tuesday vs. PHI
Adolis Garcia is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: There was some talk that Garcia could return Tuesday from his forearm injury, but he’ll be out at least one more game. Derek Hill — who was called up from Triple-A Round Rock prior to the game — will get the start in Garcia’s absence. He should be considered day-to-day at this stage. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:46 pm
